So, a friend picked up an XBox at the pawn shop dirt cheap.
However, the parental control is on and he does not know the ‘code’ to remove it. I looked around on the 'net and came across a hint (X Y L trigger X), but that does not work.
Any suggestions? (Other than to laugh at him when he gets frustrated at being unable to watch anything other than G and PG movies?)
There’s a code you put in when you first get the box. Like a pin number. He could try and guess it, or you could look up Microsoft’s help line # on xbox.com and I bet they could tell him how to erase all the memory.

If you unplug it, it should reset. You really can just enter any PW the first time, as I don’t think it matters. I remember getting that screen the first time I plugged it in & it didn’t matter what I put in, but try it yourself.
