Okay, I know said I was going to take a break from the MB, but I have ONE question that I just HAVE to know the answer to, asap.
I must have missed a recent episode of Xena, because I have no idea what happened to Joxer. Why/how did he turn really old all the sudden? I must know!
I don’t know the answer, but I just had to say “Shame on you for posting!” After I felt all guilty about keeping you from other, more important things. The other carriers at work just loved my diagnosis- nice job!
I haven’t seen the episode you’re talking about (I haven’t watched it in a long long time), but the new season is set twenty years into Xena’s future, but Xena and Gabrielle (and Callisto of course) have not been affected because they were in… the Underworld I think. Something like that. Nobody knows if the rest of the series will be set in this time or they’ll find a way back again.
Odd but true.
Xena and Gabby were frozen in ice for 25 years, now Xena’s daughter is an adult raising havoc in the world. BTW Joxer dies in upcoming episodes. If you are a Xena fan what do you think of this current season? I believe they have so completely changed the show’s premises that it is almost unwatchable.
Icerigger you’re right. Eve/Livia killed Joxer last night. I’m not sure whether I like this new direction or not. I guess I’m waiting to see if it’s just a digression or if this is the way the show will continue. After all, they had Hercules in Ireland for awhile, but didn’t leave him there. Next week should be interesting. I thought that with Hercules gone, that maybe they were going to end Xena too.
I missed last night’s but figured that was coming. Kinda hard to keep dressing up Joxer as an old man.
The 25 year deal was a ploy to protect Eve where they faked their deaths, but Ares didn’t realize it and stuck them in ice coffins to preserve their “remains”. Thus 25 years elapsed before they escaped, to find Eve is grown and evil, and Joxer’s an old man. And has a son, Virgil - an epic poet.
They managed to dig up Argo 2, so they keep the same horse.
