So, my wife and I have discovered that we sleep best in our king bed with separate sheets. This was almost a life-changing discovery, and has greatly increased our quality of sleep. Right now, we have queen-sized sheets that just hang off either side.
What I would really like is to be able to buy XL Twin flat sheets. Unfortunately, I can only find sheet sets that include a worthless-to-me fitted sheet. I have found a few places offering plain white flat sheets by the dozen, but nothing like the variety available in sheet sets. Flat sheets appear to be offered separately in every other size; can a kind doper point me to a purveyor of separate sheets in XL Twin?
I’ve looked all over the place but the only store I can find that sells sheets separately is WalMart. I have the same problem with my blanket-stealing hubby. Our bed is a double but I use a King flat sheet. Like you, I have no use for a sheet set in the wrong size.
You can very easily sell the un-used fitted sheets on eBay I bet. Especially if you can carefully grab the flat sheets out of the package without disturbing the fitted, so people can tell it’s un-used. Just of course make sure the listing describes the situation fully And maybe wait until August when college starts up.
Try Bed Bath etc again around August when they start their ‘back to college/equip your dorm room’ sales. For some reason they consider twin XL sheets to be a ‘dorm’ item.
Well it’s cuz for some reason dorm twin beds are longer than residential twin beds. For big tall college kids, I guess. Twin XL sheets (fitted) are at the top of every college freshman’s must-have list, before shower shoes even.
