Gave: an autographed copy of the 3 Doors Down debut album, a day planner, a pillow, one of those maps of the US with slots for the state quarters, a bell shaped like Santa Claus, a box of maple-flavored candy canes, socks, costume jewelry, an antenna topper, a dated Christmas ornament, maple sugar candy, a 5-foot-long stuffed trout, and an air filter for a 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity (non-FI).

I got spoiled rotten, but my favourite gift is no doubt my brand new niece, born on December 21st.

Globetrotter! That’s my wife’s birthday! (her brother’s birthday, too, seeing as they’re twins). Cool! Congrats on the little nipper!

Thank you, Dave! I know everybody says the same thing, but she really is the cutest baby ever.

I still have one gift left to give (that I won’t say since it’s going to someone on this Board ;)), and one left to get tonight.

Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you loved all of your presents!

I gave my family copies of prints I did this semester. Art/handmade stuff always goes over well with my family…

Most importantly, I got a new harddrive for my computer, so I’m on my way to being whole again  All the clothes I’ve gotten so far I helped pick out, so they’re no big surprise. My favortie so far is my brand new hard portfolio, to protect all my precious work. But I helped pick it out…

got: $100 best buy gift card. 10 pez dispensers, a horse day by day calender, a portable cd player, Pi: the movie DVD, and some aromatherapy soap, which I;m exchanging

gave my mom a pair of horse earrings

I’m working on a delayed xmas. Still waiting for everone to arrive into town, and someone to take me to the gathering.

Got: clothes, CD player, CD case, Beatles stuff, piano music, the movie Annie Get Your Gun, and…a mandolin! (Which is what I really, really wanted!)

Gave: Clothes, Christmas ornaments, jewelry, music…

Received several portraits of dead presidents, a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble, Guiness (I love my brother :D), the 2nd of two musical porcelain carousel horses (I love my gramma, but she still thinks I’m 10 sometimes), and…

…my sister had a fountain pen made for me. 22k gold rings and nib and made from box elder wood. Is beautiful! Made me cry :frowning:

Gave lots of sugar free (cos have my family is diabetic) chocolates in some really pretty boxes I picked up at Mall Wart, dad received his annual day-by-day Jeopardy calendar and grampa received his annual 5 cans of Copenhagen (it’s up to $4.45 a box!!)

MsRobyn - am happy you liked them  Recipes coming as soon as I can get them from my mother…

Gave-Dvds(American Pie, X-Men, ST:Insurection), Gift Certificates(Barnes & Noble to one of my nephews, Victoria’s Secret to a female friend), a Star Wars PC game, books, candles, Pokemon Gold for my other nephew, cash to my neice, CD-Rs, a goldfish bowl, a lot of cards, two Winnie the Pooh Chrismas Tree ornaments, The new Star Wars RPG, cash to one of my sisters.

Received-so far-A gift cert. for Barnes & Noble, a Computer Game, the new U2 CD, a nice hardcover edition of Charles Dicken’s stories, a couple of christmas cards.

This was the first Chrismas in a couple of years that I had the money to buy presents for more than just my neice and nephews. It was really nice to be able to give gifts again!

I got a ton of stuff. Some notables were: A beautiful sailing logbook, bound in leather and a sweet polarfleece sailing cap; A new bottle of Obsession (phew, I was almost out!) The new Sade album; Warcraft II boxed set (woooo! I played and beat it years ago, but now I’m playing it all over again, in anticipation to Warcraft III ;)); A waffle iron; A HUGE jar of pistachios…

psycat and I both gave a ton of stuff, since we were shopping for 5 kids, plus extended family, mostly toys.
I loved everything that I got, but what I loved most was how wonderful it was to be all together, with psycat and all our kids, on Christmas. This has been my best Christmas to date, and it wasn’t because of the material gifts (although that helped a lot :D).

PS: Sandy, psycat gave me Guiness too!

I got: Clothes, Hair accessories, CD’s that I requested, Teddy bear that my boyfriend and I made at the Build-A-Bear Workshop, carved stone box, key chain, Trip to see my parents here it DC area.

I gave: my boyfriend a sweater and silk boxers, T-shirs to my parents from my Univ., mugs to my G’parents from my Univ.

Hope everyone got stuff they like

Santa did very good in this house. I got a DVD player(well, Santa left it for Demo and I) and The Patriot and Interview with a Vampire on DVD. A bottle of Obsession, a cast iron skillet, which I have been wanting forever, silver hoop earrings and a silver rope bracelet from Tiffany’s. A watch, a bunch of those mini toys/games keyrings, like Simon, Twister, etc. and a Talking Parrot (from my son, it’s the thought that counts!), to name just a few things.

Read Demo’s list of items he gave and received to see what I gave.

This was the most wonderful Christmas ever, and Demo is right it really had nothing to do with the material items we gave or received, although it did feel nice to be able to pile stuff under the tree for all the kids.

I got Fight Club, T2, Gladiator, Scary Movie, Friday, American Beauty, sony headphones, a cd player that can play mp3s (awesome!), and a 100 bucks.

What I got: a chance to hang out with two of my cousins that I never get to see, an afternoon with my dad’s side of the family, a nice chat with my aunt (who is still “fighting” with my dad because of something that happened over 14 years ago), stories from one of my uncles about his college days, love from my family and friends, a beautiful long peacoat from my parents, a picture frame that my sister made for me, a poesy ring, perfume, a book of quotes, a BC teddy bear that I’ve been wanting for months, random other things… The best (material) present was from my Aunt Connie, who passed away before Thanksgiving. She had done all of her shopping/wrapping before she died, and my uncle sent everything a couple of weeks ago. I received a gorgeous, cozy blue sweater. I love it.

What I gave: love and hugs and kisses, a Boston College sweatshirt, a David Gray CD, a little gold locket, a butterfly necklace, margarita glasses, chocolate, Starbucks coffee mugs, a Saraha Brightman CD, books, and other random things.

Coal.

OK, briquettes.

I got a new set of towels, a scarf which my sister made herself, a nice bottle of scotch, several books, three nice shirts, two great sweaters, a new “medium” weather coat, subscriptions to Golf and Sports Illustrated, socks, a clock-radio with CD player, a check for ::mumble mumble::, and some other cool stuff.

I gave a DVD player, some Home Depot gift cards, crystal wine glasses, a Coach wallet, boots, tickets to the MBNA Platinum 400 (after the 4th turn on the straightaway, baby!), some sweaters and a couple of gifts to be named later.

And Amtrak ran on time, both ways!
