Yah! I bought an XBOX.

I’d definitely recommend:

Halo
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Madden 2004
Project Gotham Racing
Also, make sure you get a warranty! My recent experience should persuade the doubters.

But it’s a good console, enjoy.

Better yet, sign up with redoctane.com’s rental program - it’s like Netflix but for games, and they carry imports too (in case you’re hip to the chip). You can have two out at a time for $18.95 a month.

I won’t take a bridge, but I think Bungee has said late March 2004, but that was after they said December 2003…

I still don’t like that controller that comes with an xbox. I suppose I could get a smaller S controller. But at BB rental stores they have a nice s-video/a/v cable that works with the gamecube, xbox & ps2 (but only one at a time). Its very nice & well designed & only $10.

I also saw another one called gamefly.com (I think that’s it). Same deal, but I don’t remember what the price is. I play mostly PC games, so it’s not a deal for me.

Definately try the S controller. I hate the original and love the S. I prefer it to the gamecube and dual shock 2.

I’ve got the adapter that lets me use the Dual Shock with the Xbox. Love the controller and it keeps the multiple-system clutter down in front of the TV.

Didn’t they start bundling the S controller with systems a while ago?

Anyway, I personally love the standard Xbox controller. It could be my freakishly large hands, though.

“Didn’t they start bundling the S controller with systems a while ago?”

Yeah, but I bought mine before that. My hands are actually smaller than a woman’s.

The S controller is nice because you can easily access the White and Black buttons without messing up your grip.

But I can’t stand them. Too small, and doesn’t feel right. Love my original controller. (Average sized man-hands here.)

The tracks have more straight-ways, but there’re plenty of curves and dips and such on the tracks to please anyone. I didn’t like PGR because A: the steering felt WAY too sluggish, and B: I never felt like I was able to open up full throttle. It’s not exciting to race along at 25 mph.

As for the cool cars… they have over a dozen different manufacturers that you can buy from, and most have at least three or four different models to pick from (some, like Toyota and Honda, have over a dozen models in themselves). You can get supercars like the Ford GT, you can get a Stingray Corvette… if you’re feeling classic, you can get a Chevelle or a Charger… or you can go back even farther: There’s a 30’s-era racecar that you can pick up. The upgrade system is better, the car acquisition system is better… and, frankly, I thought the idea of Kudos was silly.

Really? I love it. It feels nice and meaty and fills up my hands when I grasp it…

Uh… the controller. Yeah. I’m talking about the controller.
