I’m having a problem getting my Yahoo (I have a premium account) mail through Outlook. I have two yahoo accounts. My “main” email works just fine in Outlook, but my “alternate” email does not. I keep getting a prompt to type my user name and password. I do that (and check the save password check box) but it doesn’t work. The box keeps popping up every few seconds.
I’ve configured the account as per the instructions from Yahoo. I’ve also tried altering the registration file as per the instructions from Microsoft. But no go.
From reading the discussion boards on both Yahoo and Microsoft, this seems to be a common problem, but the only solutions I’ve seen are to either uninstall then reinstall Outlook or to create a new Windows user. Before I try one of those, does anyone else have any ideas?
