Keeps asking me to verify my password. I’m logged in, but it keeps asking for that.
Anyone else?
Thanks

I have not had that happen. You say you are logged in. I believe you. You probably are going by the fact that it shows you logged in. Are you able to continue using yahoo mail while this is going on? Maybe something has logged you out and not changed the page. Still, it’s not your error.
Yahoo has a history of being hacked, but not particularly at the user level, so I doubt that is going on.
I’d try using a different browser to access yahoo and see if it happens there. There could be an ad-on to your browser that is causing a script conflict.
When people have problems with yahoo any more, I tend to assume yahoo is at fault.
Yahoo has been having all manner of issues with their email system since back in October. It got much worse about a month ago for some unknown reason.
Hi Al,
No, it won’t let me read or compose e-mails. Just keeps flashing back to that “verify” page.
The only thing I can do , is look at the top of the page, where it tells you how many e-mails you have and look at where they’re from. If they are from The Dope, I just do a search on my name and answer that way.
I did a google to see if anyone else posted anything about it anywhere else, but found nothing.
Also, the way I know I’m logged in is, it says “Hi, Bill…” at the top of the page.

Ahaha, good thread. I’m scroo’d coz they delete my dodgy accs. All I can say for my actions to be justified: I always use the same ip
Ah Ah
One thing I forgot. Yesterday when I logged in, yahoo asked me for an authentication phrase - a sentence. Ever since I formulated that. I have not been able to see my e-mails. Did my account get hacked, or have y’all gotten the same request?
Thanks

/cries of laughter/ I hope u’re not being serious, although your post sounds perfectly serious
At least looks like I’m fairly safe on yahoo us mailservers.
uk ones - I blame admin, he must have fallen in love with me or something sounds perfect when inexplicable things are going on
Always blame admin/s is my rule of choice.
WTF’s so goddam funny???:mad::mad::mad::mad:
It looked perfectly legit.
It certainly sounds like a man in the middle attack. Can you log in on a different computer?
I suggest next time you hold your fucking mirth until you get a little more information, rather than belittle me:
this: ‘I logged in, yahoo asked me for an authentication phrase - a sentence. Ever since I formulated that. I have not been able to see my e-mails.’
you have either bad memory or your plot is severly uncomplicated
Yes, I can log in on my wife’s computer (W7)
I just reported your piece of shit post.
that’s nice of you! thanx!
Brighter, if you have something substantive to contribute, by all means do. Otherwise, stop being a jerk right now.
Quasimodem, while your ire understandable, you need not respond in kind.
Understood. However, I took a look at the profile and this person has 45 posts and signed on this month. Either he or she hasn’t read the agreement not to be a jerk, or she/he has and is purposely skirting it.
I know I’m junior-modding Ellen and I’m sorry about that, and I’m warning myself not to do that, ;), but I felt a need to defend myself especially after posting the screenshot and still getting shit from this person.
Brighter you’re ignored as of now. No apology necessary, because none will be accepted.
Again. I apologize for the junior-mod, Ellen. I do try to keep an even temper, really.
Bill
awwww c’mon, I love tormenting you! chill out babe!

one antispam feature might get invoked for some reason. your account may have been selected for some reason to monitor for spam action. it asks for verification before doing actions to make some impediments to sending spam. i’ve had this happen for a few days or week on a few occasions.
I did both as suggested in an above thread. Nothing worked. I moved all my SDMB notifications to another yahoo e-mail address, and now it doesn’t work either. I still can log in on my wife’s computer, however.
