We have people arguing that we should get rid of the 14th Amendment - effectively saying that there should be no equal protection under the law or due process.
We have babies being forcibly taken from their families and put in cages for their parents daring to try for a better life - including those requesting asylum - which is legal.
And those same babies and toddlers “expected” to represent themselves in court.
We have this illegitimate president doing his very best to destroy NATO, and all trade agreements. To the betterment of Putin. And while making sure his own and Ivanka’s deals are exempt from tariffs.
We have people being put in place in the courts to overturn Roe vs Wade.
We have a new “potential appointee” to the Supremes (Kavanaugh) who seems to believe that Trump is above the law. "We should not burden a sitting President with civil suits, criminal investigations, or criminal prosecutions,” (from a 2009 law review)
NATO bashing, trade wars, having children locked up in cages, threatening other countries for trying to promote breast-feeding.

Okay, an informative bit. So “wypipo” might be contained in what the bit refers to as the “punching up” tactic … a tactic that I would say is more likely to drive many away from your position than to it.

I think it is easier for those of us who are privileged and thus secure in many ways (especially by class as well as race) to be at most annoyed to (as some are here) outright amused by being called “wypipo” but it may rankle more those who are not so privileged across all dimensions and who may be feeling very insecure abut their futures.
Even that writer though is speaking from a current position of security. Having come from poverty and economic insecurity she can have empathy for those who are not so privileged in other dimensions than race, but her current security is a luxury that does not intersect with some of whom she talks about.
