That site seems to be including hispanics holding elected positions as “white”, but ignoring them as a group within the population. When including Hispanics and Latinos, the white population is closer to 80% (76.9 according to wiki).

To everyone else, there are three reasons I decided to make an issue out of Dibble’s use of ‘wypipo’:
1). I believe that, when it comes to racial insults, we can’t have one rule for group X and another rule for group Y. As such, I felt a moral obligation to upbraid Dibble for his racist insult, as I would do for anyone else. Bottom line: Either racial insults are OK, in which case they’re OK for everyone, or they aren’t OK, in which case they’re not OK for anyone.
Which world would you rather live in?
2). Dibble was making the absurd case that if a white man says nigger within earshot of a black person even if he was making an anti-racist statement, that constitutes an act of racism. If (white) Adam calls Bob a nigger, and then (white) Chris said ”Hey, don’t call Bob a nigger you racist piece of shit”, Dibble would contend that Adam and Chris we’re being racist because Chris said nigger and Chris is white.
If someone is so eager to cry ‘racism!’ that they’ll gleefully strip any incident of relevant context and flush it down the shitter rather than miss an opportunity to stroke their outrage boner in public, they really shouldn’t be using racist slurs themselves, no matter how tepid they consider them to be, or how much insulation they think their own skin color provides.
3). I just flat out don’t like Mr Dibble. He’s smug, supercilious, snarky, spiteful, and pathologically obsessed with having the last word. His behaviour toward Novelty Bobble and DSeid in that thread was reprehensible. He’s a massive, gaping asshole, and I will never miss an opportunity to take him to task for his bullshit because, seriously, fuck that guy.
So that’s why I pulled him up over his use of ‘wypipo’. There’s nothing wrong with doing so and I’ll do it again.

The other—perhaps more significant—usage of “wypipo” is by white people who are dismissing or ridiculing black people’s complaints about racist treatment they have experienced.
The reason I say this is more significant is that in our society, racism is truly a weapon only in the hands of white people. Anti-white racism by black people, for example, doesn’t really affect white people as a group at all in any practical sense. So white people can turn it into a joke or even turn it backwards and make it into another anti-black stereotype.
How are you supposed to recognize when someone SAYS “wypipo” to you? If their natural pronunciation of “white people” is “wypipo”, phonetically, how do you know? Or is this an internet-only outrage?

To the best of my knowledge, it’s really not what’s happening here. And it’s also not something I’ve encountered. Not denying it exists, necessarily, but I haven’t ever seen it.
I’ve seen “wypipo” used by African-Americans and other POC, and by White folks to laugh at idiots (cf. JB-TC! above), but not by White people to mock Black people. Acsenray, can you point me to a link or three pertinent to what you’re talking about?
