Gonna install it when I get home.
So basically, I’m just bragging.
BTW: Flight will be available Q1, will be free to play and will only feature HAwaii (I’m guessing future areas will be pay for DLC, but who knows?

I just Googled it, since I hadn’t heard of it yet. Please post to let us all know how it is. I know I’m interested, but I want to know how stripped-down it is. Will the physics still be realistic, or are they totally going “sim-lite” on this?
There’s a video in Slashdot today - it looks VERY nice and they claim it will run on older machines including most laptops
Here’s the Slashdot article:
It seems definitely sim-light. The flight mechanics felt a bit arcadey, but the process of take off checks, getting the plane started, etc appears to be fully realistic, at least on the tiny planes we have access to now. The cockpit is fully 3D and the control surfaces are all rendered and interactive.
You have the option of doing challenges (the perfect 3 point landing, various weather challenges, maneuvering challenges, etc), taking on jobs at various airports around hawaii, and completing missions which act mostly as tutorials right now.
Not clear on how multi-player works really. I connected to a group of people, and went to free flight, and made sure I started from the airport where I saw most people flying near and I could fly along with them. I suppose people can then take on challenges and missions together? Or perhaps there will be multi-player specific mission in the future.
It seemed fun,if limited compared to something like FSX. Realism/Sim wise It’s probably closer to FSX (probably less so than FSX actually) than something like XPLane, and far removed from something like the latest Warthog sim.
Are they planning to make it F2P and sell geographic areas and planes like mad? I hate games designed to be F2P and only having Hawaii available seems pretty light on content.
Also the legacy support pisses me off. If anyone should be trying to make native dx10+ games it’s microsoft, but a missed opportunity there.
Not very hopeful.

… And I just realized I might be under an NDA!
Damn it.
