Joanie Loves Chachi.
I am soooo embarrassed.
Empty Nest.
Actually, I’ve known all of these, I just got here late.
Joanie Loves Chachi.
I am soooo embarrassed.
Empty Nest.
Actually, I’ve known all of these, I just got here late.
I just knew those were all too easy.
Five of us, and Mom working all day, we knew we could help her…
Sorry, I had to cut it off there or it would be too easy as well.
C’mon get happy! The Partridge Family!
“C’mon Get Happy!” was indeed the first line of the chorus for most of the show’s run. But there was another. I’m not sure exactly when they used the other lyric, but I think it was during the first season, or part of the first season. Do you recall what that lyric was?
Warning: it’s a trick!
I don’t care what you say anymore this is my life
go ahead with your own life leave me alone
“Bosom Buddies,” one of those TV shows that sucked in so many ways, but was worth watching just for the great comic team of Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari. They made some lousy material shine.
I always felt the same way about Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker in “Perfect Strangers.”
Correct, and I agree.
I suspect we’ll be knocking these out of the park until the cows come home, but here’s another anyway:
Got kinda tired of packin’ and unpackin’
town to town, up and down the dial…
Baby, you and me were never meant to be,
Just maybe think of me once in a while.
I’m at
W K R P in Cincinaaaaaaateeeeee.
You take the good, you take the bad
You take them both…
No one yyet?
WKRP In Cincinnati
Sadly, I have nothing to offer, the theme from Julia not in my repertoire.
And Gamera, I thought I was having deja vu when I first saw Men In Tights. I swear all the non-topical jokes were recycled.
The Facts of Life. <shudder>
What, does no one else remember the alternate theme song from The Partridge Family?
How about some really short and obvious ones:
Here’s a story…
Just sit right back…
Let me tell y’all a story…
A horse is…
Just good ol’ boys…
Brady Bunch
Gilligan’s Island
Beverley Hillbillies (Nitpick: "Come and listen to a story…)
Mr. Ed
Dukes of Hazzard (Nitpick: “Just some good ol’ boys…”)
Drifting off-topic slightly…
There are those that believe that life began out there…
Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality…
Battlestar Galactica. (nitpick right back at you: "There are those who believe that life here began out there…)
I haven’t the slightest idea on your second one.
And another one to ponder:
It’s cold outside, there’s no kind of atmosphere,
I’m all alone, more or less,
I want to fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun. In the sun, sun, sun.
…I want to fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun. In the sun, sun, sun…
Red Dwarf?
I didn’t remember it that way…turns out I was remembering the short narration. ::shrug::
Any takers? Here it is again:
Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality…
I bet we’ve been together for a million years.
And I bet we’ll be together for a million more…
Let the time flow,
Let the love grow,
Let the rain shower,
Let the rose flower…
Well, the world don’t move
to the beat of just one drum…
Oh, and Tales from the Darkside…
I can’t believe I know this. I am so pathetic.
It’s from Angie.
First is Family Ties
Third is Different Strokes
No one has answered mine yet, so I’ll add a few more (an ulta-obscure one and an easy one):
Just pushing up daisies, we’re halfway to Hades, and halfway to Heaven above
Sometimes the world looks perfect, nothing to rearrange
Sometimes you just get a feeling like you need some kind of change
Family Ties
Diff’rent Strokes
2nd one…absolutely no clue.

::slowly backs away from computer, walks all the way home backwards ala Homer Simpson catching Apu committing adultery::
Diamonds, daisies, snowflakes…
