Yep, Rove Did It. Welcome to the Smoking Gun Show.

This afternoon, the document dump, piles and piles of stuff about Rove and Harriet Meirs and the US Attorney filings. Don’t remember? Does the phrase “serves at the pleasure of the President” ring any bells. No, not chubette interns, US attorneys.

Anyway, the lefty blogosphere fell upon them like starving dogs on a wounded mail man. Just as you expected, its chock full of mendacious goodies: big lies, little lies, white lies, bald-face lies…

Funny thing is, there are hundreds of pages, so they posted the transcripts on line and said “fly, my pretties, fly!” and so far we’ve only got a few smoking guns like: Rove was up to his eyeballs in getting Iglesias fired. Because Iglesias balked at prosecuting a Democrat to ensure a Republican electoral win. Stuff like that, and the hits just keep on coming!

My prospect is two-fold. First, to create a central clearing for the many, many directions this thing is spinning. ThinkProgress and *Talking Points Memo *are two real good places to keep up with this, Huffington Post (I suppose, if you must…)

And second to provide a thread for our tighty-righty brethren who defended the indefensible to offer us their blubbering apologies, and swear eternal repentance. Me? Tequila and bongwater, why do you ask?

Also seems to be some developing about Senator Bond, Kit Bond of the Fuck Me State…

Where is the pitting?

Here’s a Washington Post story, which links to this House Judiciary Committee page, which has sections on “Rove Interview,” “Miers Interview,” “White House Documents,” and “RNC Documents.” Happy digging!

:dubious: Is not the name “Rove” more than sufficient in and of itself?

I love the difference between the Washington Post and Fox News. Fox has just a few paragraphs, ten, technically speaking. Six of them are favourable to Rove.

I could not come up with 6 favorable paragraphs for that shyster.

Anything prosecutable?

Well, at least he’s a Yurpeen fuctard. You’re domestic. Besides, he’s run with the bulls at Papilloma!

I’m going to put my chips on “no.” Too smart to say anything egregious on the record. Everything will be weaselly, lots of outrage and lots of indignation. Repeat of Palin/Troopergate. Left, right, rah rah rah.

Ooops. Shouldn’t have taken that left turn at Albuquerque.

HEY!!! Karl Rove is not a lawyer. Shyster is a pejorative for lawyers. Iglesais refused to so the Rovian criminal deed because it was against legal ethics. As low as lawyers are, Rove is much, much lower.

Assistant slime trainee?

Well, luci had me at “Rove.” Hard to imagine a more-appropriate forum.

This is a variant spelling of shitheel I was not previously aware of.

I’m trying to come up with something catchy here, but, Maggot just seems to stick with me, kinda like Turdblossom, though.

There are some documents somewhere that say some bad stuff about Rove?

Isn’t that somewhat vague?
You’re just trying to distract us from Obama’s death panels.

Curses! Tin foiled again!

You couldn’t come up with six favorable paragraphs about any subject.

Would a turdblossom smell as fresh by any other name?

HEY! Get back in you free speech zone.

Which is, of course, just code for gas chamber.
