Using kids this way is indeed creepy - however it is not automatically the creepiest element at play. That Perry needs (or at least thinks he needs) to pay lip-service to creationism to get elected is a pretty disturbing statement about American politics.
I would like to present you with the Hypothetical Parent of the Year award. Congratulations!

Pitting Fox - “the views expressed in this broadcast do not necessarily reflect the views of Fox News… etc etc.” People on the panel represent themselves, not Fox. Anyway the host called them “adorable.”
-
They were pretty adorable kids right up to the dancing. Sadly there is no way to get around the fact that that was dork dancing. If you don’t want to be a dork, don’t dork dance.
-
I’m really disappointed about just how low the standards in this place have fallen.
-
Can we just all agree that the video is really stupid, and the talk show is really stupid, and unless you are locked at home paralyzed and strapped into a chair with things in your eyes like robot chicken or clockwork orange then there is no excuse to actually be watching either of those things?
-
if you are voluntarily watching either of those things you should hide and deny it. (I will not mention that I watched either to anybody I know, or care about.)
-
If you care enough about either of those to have strong opinions on them, there is something seriously fucking wrong with you. Go outside. Try to kiss a girl. You have been on the internet too long. Get a life.
Don’t listen to the curmudgeon, my little dorklings. Dance, and freak freely.
The other thing that pisses me off is the striving for multiculturality. They managed an asian, whites (why were all the white people pure aryans) blacks, they even had what appeared to be a deaf middle eastern kid doing number six (I think that’s a twofer.) I think the girl in number 1 and 9 is vaguely hispanic.
The black kid doing number 7 clearly didn’t want to be there. why the hell did the white kid hit the black kid? I guess that’s just proof that Democrats support racial violence.
I look at how much fucking thought and care there clearly was in setting this up… racewise. Did you notice how whenever there were two kids together they were of different races?
I don’t think you can be this race conscious without being racist. Fuck you moveon.org for your blatant racist panderings.
Down with all you racist liberals.
seriously, what the hell is wrong with those people?
Were the black kids dancing like dorks? 'Cause that would prove the whole thing was staged.
They made the black kid dance white.
The little Oreo bastards!
Why does this always drive righties so crazy? Why do you care? Why does it bother you? What harm does it do?
Don’t bother to answer. We all know why it bothers you. Suck on our liberal multicutural striving, skinhead.
that kind of “multiculturalism” is is pretty much the norm now, right or left.
Yes, those minorities should know their place and get the fuck off of my TV.
</sarcasm>
What was your first clue? Did one of them leap upon some other kid and beat them senseless?
Well, in all seriousness I’m sure those same arguments were made with regard to segregation. And, that argument is wrong and causes harm for the same reason segregation did. It’s the focussing on race. They are arranging people racially. They are teaching the children that it is okay to make your decisions concerning other people based on race.
Blonde white girls and a Bieber clone.
Isn’t he Canadian? Sure, they’re pale enough, but Aryan?
Canadians are Eh’ ran.
No they weren’t. You’re deflecting. Why are you deflecting? What bothers you so much about seeing a white kid standing next to a Mexican kid? Personally, I didn’t even notice the racial make-up of the kids. It’s very interesting that you have fixated on something so irrelevant to the discussion and to that video as the kids’ races. I wonder why.
Using your kids as spokespeople for your political agenda is wrong because it’s exploitative, not because they’re “unattackable”. You seem to think the problem is that you’re not allowed to call them bastards, and the solution is to call them bastards anyway. Calling kids bastards on national TV is still wrong; just because the parents are exploiting them doesn’t make it OK.
You fail to notice quite a bit. You fail to understand quite a lot. I guess that’s why you believe and act as you do, why you get pitted so often. Im not going to be able to help you with these problems.
No, Dio gets pitted for making short statements, rarely admitting when he’s wrong, and arguing for arguments’ sake. And maybe his temper on women and children’s issues. He does not get pitted for failing to notice things.
And, frankly, he cleaned the floor with you. You chose to take something that’s intended to be the opposite of racist, and claim it’s racist, so he used the same logic on you. In other words, if it’s racist to intentionally include people from other races, as it means you are paying attention to race, then it’s racist to notice that people are doing this, since that means you are paying attention to race.
Oh, and while I’m at it: magellan is not being disingenuous. This happens so rarely, I had to point it out.
