Yes (with Geddy Lee on Bass) plays Roundabout at RRHOF!

Just stumbles across this yesterday. Yes, with Jon Anderson and Geddy Lee filling in for Chris play Roundabout at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame gig.

Yes and Rush were my two favorite bands way back in the day, and this was pretty cool to see. I’ve been fortunate enough to see Yes a few times, Steve Howe a few times with his projects (including front row, about 6 feet from him at an Asia show!) and Rush a bunch, too. Great to see Geddy up there with Steve, however. He didn’t seem to have any problem filling in for Chris. I bet he knows the whole catalog by heart.

Shame the sound quality is so poor on the video. Good to see Jon Anderson, I know he hasn’t been doing too well the last few years.

No one can replace Chris Squire, he was the one constant in Yes through all the changes, but Geddy Lee is an excellent choice to sub for him.

Can’t understand why it took so long for Yes to make the Hall. I feel like the trustees of the Hall don’t really like Prog Rock at all.

The induction ceremony and concert will be on HBO this weekend; hopefully, better-quality video of this will be part of that.

It’s been a long-standing belief by many prog rock fans that Jann Wenner doesn’t like prog, and that’s a big part of the reason why it took both Yes and Rush so long to make it in.

That was cool, thanks for sharing it!

Good ol bands.

It seems that Jann Wenner has always disliked it.
