OpalCat, I have reread my OP and both of our posts since, and I still do not understand what has engendered this reaction from you. I expressed an opinion. You took that as a personal attack. Some of the categories on your site are decidedly unflattering. Should every poster nominated for such an award view it as a personal attack? I started this thread in the PIT because it expresses an unfavorable opinion about the activities of some posters. That said, I have avoided launching any flames or personal attacks. I have even mentioned the regard I hold for many members of our community and the respect I have for the work you do on the Teeming Millions Homepage.

Whatever is going on is beyond the normal scope of “ooh, he’s mean to me, I’m going to be upset” reaction the board usually sees. I don’t know that there’s a lot of help we can give her, but there’s a whole lot of harm we can refrain doing. Until Opal is better, I’m going to suggest that we treat her with kid gloves.
