This is an instrumental part of what may be an instrumental song, but I’m not sure. Here’s its musical notation to the best of my ability:
If you can’t read musical notation:
Each line is one measure. Dots represent quarter-note beats, numbers are pitches. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 = do re mi fa sol la ti do. I think the song is in the key of E.
It’s about 165±10 bpm and the part that’s stuck in my head is an 8-measure loop. The main instrument is a keyboard – I’m having a hard time describing its timbre, but it feels “soft” to me. There’s what I think is a drum machine, with maybe a soft da-da-da, da-da-DAH on the 1&2, 3&4 beats. I thought I could remember its bass line, but it turns out I was thinking of Björk’s “Army of Me” – the actual bass line could be similar to that, but maybe not.
I’d guess the song is from this decade, possibly the early part – maybe part of an indie rock song or maybe chillwave electronica.
Any hints or guesses would be appreciated. Thanks!
