YET another weight-training question. Natural/low testosterone levels effect

So, typically I read a small snippet of a thing, and now I have a question about it.

What I read was that people with a naturally low or normal level of testosterone will not build huge muscles even if they try quite hard. And that there is a type of person naturally predisposed to build big muslces.

If, through years of alcohol abuse someone now has a reduced natural testosterone level, are they stuck at that level, and will that level seriously limit the muscle mass they can put on? Or can levels be increased? Can levels be overcome and muscle mass increased?

Yes, the former alcohol abuser is me.

I am 28 (29 in fourteen days)

Does alcohol abuse lower your baseline testosterone levels? I’ve never heard that before, but I haven’t looked into it at all.

Anyway, the thing that prevents most men from gaining muscle mass is their training regime and their diet, not their hormonal profile. It might be an issue eventually, but don’t lose sleep over it until you have a few years of solid progress under your belt.
