Thank you for your request for information on YR sauce.

We took over YR in 2002 when we bought Goodalls from Unilever. They in turn had bought it as part of their take over of Knorr/CPC,who inturn had bought the Goodalls brand from a private company.

From what I gather these private owners themselves had bought the Brand from the owners of the original Company which is I think the one mentioned in the quaint ad on the site you referenced.I am attempting to retrieve all the documents re the Company which are with our Solictors this will doubtless take some time!!
Is it an Irish sauce you ask, yes very much so.

It is produced for us in Donegal and previous to that it was produced at the CPC plant in Inchicore here in Dublin.Before that it was produced at a seperate Goodalls site on Dublins northside.
