Anyone here from Kentucky? Which County? Anyone from Spencer county let me know. I just want to know who my fellow Spencer countian Dopers are.(it might explain why some of us are so stupid, spencer county has probably the worst education system in the country:D)

I once lived right outside of Pikeville, when I was like 10yrs old. Thank GOD I got out of there.
People talk bad about WV, let me just say. Certain parts of eastern Kentucky take the cake by a mile.

I’m from Indiana, but live in Louisville, KY now. Jefferson County. I consider myself a Hoosier, and damn proud of it [sub]at least when in Kentucky.[/sub] By Ruby’s count, I’m Hoosier number three!

I drove thru Kentucky once when I was in college, going from IN to FL. And I was in Lexington (I think) on a biz trip once. Neither of those count, but I felt the uncontrollable urge to share.

Not the kentucky education system, just the spencer county one. In the fourth, fifth, sixth AND seventh grade we went over fractions again and again because nobody(except for a select few, me included) got it. And the transportation system sucks. There’s a bus driver that ran into a stop sign, hit a side rail and scraped a tree(now there’s a huge dent in the side of that bus), and HE’S STILL DRIVING BUSES!!! A bunch of people pulled their kids off the bus until he got removed(i would have driven if not for mom and dad needed the cars). He got removed from the bus. Now, not even a month into the school year(for most people, we started in late august), he’s already scratched up the new bus and got assigned to a new bus because the same thing happened.
I think I made a wrong turn at Albuquerque… oh crud…
