Who are the Kentucky Dopers?

With the outside possibility of me moving back to my home state of Kentucky lurking, I was just curious to know who on the board is already there. I can only think of four or five offhand.

Well, you know I’m here (for now), Superdude is here in Louisville and Ellen is in Lexington.

IIRC, Demo is the guy behind the map, which is always a good place to look.

Speleophile weighing in from Cynthiana. Kentucky is the greatest place in the world to live if you’re a caving nut.

There’s me, if I count. In Lexington, official home of jacka** drivers.

I live in Cincinnati (i could spit and hit the ohio river from here), but buy all my liquor across the river in Newport, KY. Does that count?

I’m in Lexington, until July anyway.

Go Big Blue,
Dr. J

I’m down here in Murray. I guess I’m holding down the fort for western KY.

GO WILDCATS!!!

I, too, hail from the Bluegrass state, waaaaaaay up in the hills. Right now, fall is gorgeous here; trees changing, air crisp with the faintest hint of chimney smoke, and just a general feeling of stillness.

Oh, we’ll sing one song for my old Kentucky home…
Pardon me. I seem to have gotten dust in my eye. WHAT? No, I’m not crying! I just - allergies! Yeah that’s it!

No way! Another one? We’ll have to do a Cincinnati Area DopeFest sometime. (Yeah, I know about OhDope, but I couldn’t go. See, I saw this guy of Middle Eastern descent and I gave him his wallet he dropped back and he told me “Don’t go to Columbus on the 27th”. So I missed it.)
-Rue.

And still have family in Harlan and Leslie counties.

But I now live in the area around Chattanooga.

Not much help, sorry Snoooopy

Yes! Here I am in Lexington! Gee I hope that wasn’t you I cut off this morning, dwyr.

Snoop, wanna share? Where are you from?

Cherry, your post reminds me of the weekend we spent in a bed and breakfast in Blaine, Ky. (It’s not far from Paintsville.) We were on the third floor and I remember watching the mist snake up the hollow, as the moonlight shone through the crimison and yellow trees. Beautiful spot!

I’m in Louisville all the time. I’d love to see Thinksnow again and meet Superdude!

I’m not living in Kentucky but, my son attends UK so, I’m in Lexington often enough. I’d be interest in attending a Dopefest in that area if one ever comes about.

I consider myself an honorary Kentuckian.

I grew up in Louisville, but when to college in Lexington (so when UL and UK play basketball, I tell people that I root for whoever wins).

I’m living here in Louisville too. Since we’ve already heard from a couple of Cat Fans, I’ll have to say

GO CARDINALS!

Born and raised in Leslie County, live in Pendleton County, 23 miles south of Cincy.

Sir Rhosis

Representing Frankfort here, capital city and all. I tell ya, Cherry_Blossom_'s right, nothing like a Kentucky fall. The rest of the country has nothing on the Midwest.

I plan to go to UK, btw. Go Cats!

Wow, good deduction, Holmes. I am 20-30 miles from Paintsvillle (on the Lexington side actually). I am truly impressed.

(Bows before the all-powerful cranium of Ellen)

You guys are making me homesick. I’m a Kentuckian transplanted from Danville to South Carolina, where fall is only a verb. The seasons here are Hot, Less Hot, and Rainy. I’m still a UK basketball fan all the way though.

Hey Blue Moon of Kentucky, my boyfriend called me this afternoon to tell me that tonight is a blue moon, and he sang me the song in honor of my home state. Love your name!

Lexington here, but since I don’t give a flying hoot about the Wildcats, I feel like a foreigner…

Ellen

Nah, if it was morning than it couldn’t have been me. I never get up before noon.
