You are in control of a SWAT team to clear out a building. (ASCII map game)

So, I thought this would be interesting. I made a building map from a ASCII drawing website called ASCIIFlow Infinity and thought it was interesting enough to make a scenario out of.

Backstory: A building in a place has come under attack by the militia and quickly falls. The U.S. military is notified of this and sends a SAS battleship to the shore close to the building which deploys a SWAT helicopter which deploys 4 SWAT personnel in front of the building and leaves.

Your mission is to eliminate all of the enemy militia.

Here is the actual ASCII building map. It’s not from any actual building, so it’s probably not very good.

Imgur: The magic of the Internet** I think it’s not auto-linked, so somewhat NSFW because it’s imgur and not because of the actual image itself**)

Round 1: You control the troops from the map overview, kind of like a RTS game.

Round 2: You control the troops from your own character, designated by “Y”.

**ASCII map key:
**
m: melee man.

G: gunman

M: maintenance room, power can be switched on/off among other things.

D: door

X: designates where stairs lead to, not a physical object.

B: makeshift barricade, cannot be walked over without taking a long time, can be destroyed, protects against gunfire, can be shot through by gunman.

F: common furniture such as desks, tables, chairs, benches, computers, etc.

O: overhang, can be walked on.

S: building support.

Y: player character in R2

r: metal/wooden railing

:SD: stairs downwards.

:SU: stairs upwards.

:SP: stairs platform.

GND: ground level.

LVL1: level 1 (above ground).

Looks intriguing! By the way, I reported the thread for a move to a place more people will find it: The Game Room.
