These kids, if they exist, are not even two and three years old, respectively. The younger one ain’t doing much in the way of talkin’ besides maybe saying a few words, and the older one is probably concentrating hard on his/her ABCs. Neither one is giving rational discussions on what mommy told him or her about the babysitter. And they are going to “undergo counseling” about it? Don’t think so!
And what do you suppose the answers to my questions are, mmm? Who took this lady to the hospital to have her kids, and who brought her home? And I got news for you, if she’s got two little kids ages three and under she ain’t much interested in having sex with one man, let alone two of 'em, right now. She’s gonna be too tired out from taking care of these kids.
And what tales do you suppose were told to the two men on birthdays, weekends, vacations and holidays?
And $82K ain’t enough money in California to support two homes fully equipped for two kids. Not if at least one of those homes is owned, not rented (and the OP appears to suggest that there was a home owned with both “Jeff” and “Arnold,” meaning two mortgages, two property taxes, etc.), and not anywhere near a metropolitan area where “Jeff” could be earning that kind of a salary. And who was claiming these kids on the income taxes, wherein a social security number has to be provided for each of them?
And finally, this ain’t a case for the DA, and no DA would be gossiping about it unless it were indeed public record. And even then s/he would not be making such comments on a pending caes.

For the rest of US, whoever my neighbor happens to be, and yes that would have been assistant DA, that I spoke to, did tell me this exact story, and then showed me the filings that had been submitted, and the case as it is so far.

Secondly, while perhaps Jeff should take custody of his kids, if he doesn’t, why should he have to pay for them? Yes, if he doesn’t pay for them, the kids will have a harder life than if he did pay. Shit happens. Failing to step in and “fix” the shit isn’t the same as punishing the children. If the court demanded that the children pay Jeff money that would be punishment. Joni is the one that punished the children; Jeff’s just refusing to cover for her.
Mikey, DAs, assistant or otherwise, don’t have anything to do with divorce cases.
I didn’t know you before this post… but I am now highly skeptical of you. If youwanted to post a hypothetical, you could have presented it as one.
