That seems to be the premise of this bimbo’s web site.
From her FAQ
In 2 months…she’s had enough morons contribute to her “cause”, that she has collected about $1400 outright…with a few hundred more collected in eBay sales…and various other material contributions.
Hmmmmm.
My daughter is now a little over a year old.
She is darn cute.
Her college tuition will probably easily be in the 20K range.
I’ve seen this before. I don’t admire her lack of financial skill, but I do admire her brashness and ingenuity. Since the only people who send her anything are people that want to, I don’t see any problem with it. I wouldn’t send her a penny. Obviously some people will.
Can you tell me what your daughter will major in? That’ll help me to decide about the tuition thing.
Beagledave, it is actually worse than you said. Somehow, she had convinced people to give her over four grand. What is this world coming to? Someone please tell me this is a joke.
I don’t see a problem with this at all. It’s not like she’s duping people into giving her money; she is being completely honest. If I weren’t a charity case myself, I’d give a buck.
Hey <b>beagledave</b>, when I get out my financial burdens, I’d be happy to give money towards your daughter’s college fund! I couldn’t think of a better way to donate my money!
I’m serious too…
I am so gonna pimp slap you upside the head next time I see you.
We’re a free enterprise system, so of course I support her right to do something like this. As I support the rights of the American Cancer Society to ask for donations. Or the Breast Cancer Foundation. Or the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Ya just gotta ask yourself a question. Would my dollar do more good helping the fight against cancer, or letting a dying child have their dying wish granted? Or would it do more good in the pocket of a money grubbing, morally bankrupt bitch who isn’t willing to get a fucking job and pay her own goddam bills?
I’m with Bryan on this one, folks. Not to the degree that I would actually contribute, but I don’t see her crime.
** Pump Action Gerbil ** was marching around the house last night grumbling about what an “evil, stupid bitch” she is. I didn’t understand it and I don’t understand why any of you feel such hostility. She sure aint’ stupid, she’s managed to get $4000 in donations, and between her and the people who donated, I’d give her the props for smarts. She isn’t dishonest (assuming the site is for real and she is too), she’s completely admitting she screwed up, which lots and lots of people do. She isn’t claiming that it is anyone’s fault but her own, she isn’t blaming anyone but herself. She’s not making any shady offers, nothing. All she’s done is asked anyone who feels like it to help her get her ass out of this situation. Period.
And this is * evil? * She’s a ** bitch? ** How does that follow? Who has she harmed? Someone said karma would get her… seems her karma is just fine. She hasn’t done anyone or anything any kind of harm.
I think y’all are just having a visceral reaction and you haven’t really thought about it. Cuz if you did I think you’d realize that there is nothing wrong, evil, hurtful, dishonest or bad in any thing she’s done. Foolish, self-indulgent, yes. But who does that harm? No one that I can see.
Really, save your ire for the people who really deserve it.
Because she’s a spoiled little princess who’s like, “OHMIGAWD, you mean you have to PAY credit card bills?”
Plus, if she’s that broke, then disconnect the computer, sell your domain, and do something. Work at McDonalds, for crying out loud! Dammit, I’d like to get a decent job, and yeah, I whine about Kmart, but I don’t panhandle.
There are people out there who beg who are in really serious, dire straits. She isn’t one of them.
Fuck, when my dad lost his job because his boss was a fucking crook, he didn’t make up some scam, “Please give me money.” And my parents had just bought a house, had two kids in Catholic school, bills to pay and what not. So FUCK HER.
And like I said, why pay money for her own website, internet and her own domain? What a waste.
Actually I didn’t use words like evil (nor did anybody else in this thread) or hurtful (nor did anyone else in this thread) or dishonest (nor did anyone else in this thread) …damn is there a pattern here?
I also wasn’t aware that someone had to bring harm to somebody else before they were allowed to be pitted. (Goodness knows I hope you have never criticized someone who has not actually brought harm to someone else…)
I think she is lazy. I think doing this in a high profile way invites public opinion. I think that people who pony up money to a complete stranger who spent her money at Bloomingdales are morons.
I hope my daughter will make smarter choices in her life than to blow 20K on material foofah…and then beg strangers to bail her out.
