You get 5-10 songs played at your funeral, what would they be

I’m going for cremation so all I want is for my coffin to be displayed with Albonini’s Adagio playing…no eulogies, no prayers, nothing…

once the piece ends, my coffin just slides behind the curtain, people get up and leave

We had a Catholic funeral mass for my sister and at her request played Love Is The Answer by England Dan & John Ford Coley and Sunset by Roxy Music .The priest didn’t have a problem with it.

My friend died in February 2016 and she had Always Look at the Bright Side of Life. It played right at the end as we were leaving (not a church). It really was bitter sweet and so typical of my lovely friend.

My uncle also had it at his funeral. He was always a bit of a joker and he had said he wanted a particular advertisement song. for one of our supermarket chains. He figured he was going “Down, down”. I don’t think his family obliged him in this.

Just two.

Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” on the way in
“When The Saints Go Marching In” on the way out

I guess the best form of revenge wold be to make everyone sit and listen to 5-10 songs from my playlist, but cruelty was never my forte.

What’s New, Pussycat?, by Tom Jones. With one exception thrown in…

The Sickbed of Cuchullain by The Pogues. Oh, and it would be nice to have* Work , for the Night is Coming* sounding as they carry my casket away…

Many Rivers to Cross- actually like the UB40 version
I’ll Fly Away- Oh Brother where art thou version
Angel- Sarah Maclachlan
In My Life- Beatles
