… that had the guy with the mellifluous voice? (Sounded a lot like Norm McDonald,I thought). Well, I’m not hearing him anymore, and that’s one of my favorite commercials because of that little 30’s-sounding jingle at the end.

I was wondering if he died?

Lynn Hauldren. He died last April.

Oh, man! I hate to hear that and thanks, Bob for letting me know. That guy had a very nice voice, very soothing. Having been in radio myself for 18 years, I know how important a “smiling, soothing” voice is, when you’re selling something.

That’s too bad, because that voice of his combined with that ladies’ chorus, made that whole commercial.
