I think one of the reasons men seem to get more attention from the opposite sex when they are already in a relationship is because of how the relationship affects their attitude towards other women.
If you’re in a solid relationship with a woman, you often feel much, much more comfortable around other single women who might have otherwise been potential love interests. Your confidence will go up as that tension lowers, and they’ll start to see the more natural and assertive side of you. Or, if you act like an asshole while trying to get dates, they might see a nicer version of you when you’re not hitting on them like a creep
I’m not any cooler now, than when I was 18. But I’ve seen a few things that the youngsters haven’t. I’ve read a few books that they haven’t. I’ve heard a few bands that they consider classics. I can tell a few stories that they haven’t heard already. And that makes me seem much cooler than I am, to women who don’t know any better.
If I had known then, what I know now, I could have been quite a Casanova. Unfortunately, the pick-up lines don’t work anymore on women my own age, and they would be really creepy if I tried them on younger women. So I’m still out of luck.
Married women and lesbians are always telling me how wonderful I am. Single, straight women keep giving me the “let’s be friends” speech.
I’ve always hated that analogy because, the more blood on the pitch, in general, the better the game. Not that I mind a little blood, but that’s not how I define how good the sex was.

Yes, I too understand what it’s like to have lots of beautiful girls attracted to me during many of my numerous relationships. And I too have enjoyed many a kick on the pitch, roll in the mud, or other similar terrain-based activities.
Females are attracted to strong, mature men. It goes back to the caveman days. 14 year old Johnny can’t chase away the teridactals that come down to steal Susie’s babies. But Strong Steven the 30 year old stud can.
Just like Molly the Old Maid doesn’t attract guys, but Nubile Nelly is still young enough to pop out 20 babies for a guy, so she is attractive.
I remember once when I was about 25. I was walking out of a convenience store. As I was trying to unlock my car I noticed these two scantily clad girls walking down an adjacent sidewalk.
I mean these girl were so stunning my jaw must have dropped to the floor. So you can imagine my surprise when they both started walking towards me saying “Hey! what’s going on?”
Caught a little off guard; I could hardly speak. They then ask me: “Hey could we get a ride right down the road.” To which I stupidly said “Duh, Why sure…”
Once they got in the car I asked them: “So where exactly is it we’re going?” to which they said: “You know where Richardson High school is right down the road?”
It was at this point I pretty much shat my pants. Let me tell ya’ I couldn’t get to that High school fast enough to drop these girls off. It took me a good week before I could get that “Dirty Old Man” feeling out of my head.
But yeah, too bad they didn’t do that shit when I was a teen.
