any other sweetie stories out there?

Aww, how cute

I don’t have kids but I was playing snap with my little cousin once. You know how it is when you play with kids. You let them win. Not all the time mind <evil grin>
Anyway, she turned her card and it was a snap card! She didn’t budge! I carefully pointed out to her that it was a snap card.
“I know,” she said. “But I’ve won a lot. You can have this one.”
She was about 3 at the time. aaaawwwwWWWWWW!

Speaking as an old bachelor (sp?) enjoy Anything kids say! (I miss my sister’s kids!)

Excuse me my cat just…just…? I’ll explain later.

My 3 year old cousin once wrappred himself around my legs to keep me from going home , I think it was becuase last time I visited , I had to leave without saying goodbye to him and he got a little upset.

Two nights ago as I was putting my 3 yr. old son to bed, after the ritual hugs and kisses, he said to me in a very small, queit voice, “You are my best friend, aren’t you?”. Instant meltdown.

My two and a half year old said to me " I love you more"

I didn’t think life could get any better than that.

Aaron smiles when I go into his room in the morning to get him out of bed and downstairs for breakfast. There have also been times when I was the only person who could calm him down or make him feel better. And he LOVES to stare adoringly at me.

He’s a great kid.

Died and fell in the trash can?!?

I’m only kidding, promise. I just couldn’t pass it up.

Every day when I drop the boy off at school he says, “Good luck making it work on time and getting a raise”. When we’re shopping and he picks the bags up off the counter and carries them without being asked. Being twelve, he’s not very smushy about his feelings, so I take what I can get.

I used to ask my son, “How much do you love me?” And he’d say, “See that shopping mall? Bigger!”

Those stories are just adorable…** trying not to tear up now**
I can’t wait to have children…

As he’s falling asleep, my almost 4 year old tells me “Mom, I just love you.”

I have a 4-yr-old daughter, and I can say to her, anytime, anywhere, “Who loves you?”
She will always reply, “Daddy does.”
Melts me every time…
but it’s even worse than that…I can lean down to her while she’s sleeping at night, whisper the question in her ear and she’ll reply while she’s still sleeping.

My six month old daughter has an inexhaustible supply of big gummy smiles for me. She gets ridiculously excited when myself and her mother come home from work and she likes nothing more than bathtime with us.

She’s fairly gregarious generally but she will only take her nighttime feed from us. I suppose that’s not really a good thing but I can’t help feeling a bit proud that I’ve gained the love and trust of the little one.

My husband left his brother’s house one night after the kids had gone to sleep. Emily, our three-year-old niece, woke up after he’d left and tearily called him on the phone, saying, “Uncle Pat, don’t you know when there’s kids in the house you HAFFA give 'em a kiss?”

Aw. We always make sure to kiss her when we leave, now, even if she’s asleep.

My 1 yeal old gives great hugs.
This is how he apologizes after trying to claw my nose off.
awwww

Okay, you can all stop now, we have a winner.

When my cousins’ fourth child (in four years!) arrived last year, everything coasted along fine for a few days, but then their mom hit a rough stretch one day. The baby wouldn’t stop crying, none of the other kids would listen to her, and she was at her wit’s end when her 2-year-old tugged on her sleeve and said:

“Can’t we just go pick up Kendra?”

I was so touched when she told me that!

When I tell my 2 year old son, “I love you,” he shouts back, “No, I love YOU.” Then I say, “No, I love YOU,” and he shouts, louder this time, “NO, I LOVE YOU”… this goes on for quite some time and is incredibly cute. He just shouts as loud as his little voice can go.

When I picked up my 4 year old daughter from daycare the other day she gave me a hug and whispered in my ear, “I missed you today daddy.”

It’s amazing how easy it is for these little people to just melt your heart, isn’t it?

Say it with me : Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, how cute!
