You only get to eat one ethnicity's food for the rest of your life... which one?

No contest, it’s Indian food for me.

I love Indian food, but there’s simply no way I could do that for every meal for the rest of my life.

I think I’ll pick Japanese.

Chinese was the first thing I thought of, and if I have to further specify to placate whoever is putting this restriction on me, I’ll slightly more hesitantly go with Szechuan.

Indian - it’s so diverse and so fucking good. South Indian if I had to choose a region (dhosas, coconut chutney etc.).

::Drools::

Vietnamese of course. What’s wrong with all of you?!

Chinese. If I have to pick one, make it Szechuan.

And I’d have to learn how to make pizza with Chinese ingredients.

Chinese in all it’s varied glory. I’d miss French food and Thai food the most.

Oh, and al pastor tacos and carne en su jugo.

Mexican. It’s already about 60% of what I eat.

Ditto. Noodle & Rice dishes, but not all so heavy and curry-driven. Light fare like pho balances with some of the richer varities. Yum.

Peruvian, there is no other choice, but it’s like cheating due to the great variety of styles in Peuvian food.
Italian and Chinese would be the runners-up.

Italian. (I’m 1/4)

Italian. By a country mile.

french, followed closely by italian.

Italian.

I’m a commited pastavore. I coud probably be happy on noodles three times a day.

my gut instinct was to go with indian, but i’m lousy at cooking the stuff. i’m a way better chinese cook. do i get money for take-out? if not, i’ll go with chinese. if so, send me to the subcontinent.

pancakes, how would you two-way a big live grouper? that’s my comfort food whenever i decide to eat chinese.

My problem is that I never met a cuisine I didn’t like. I love them all, even Russian, as heavy as it can be. Those folks sure love their butter and sour cream.

So, having to choose, I’d grit my teeth and say Greek.

hey, my third place is a tough choice. it’s a toss-off between greek/turkish and spanish.

German

Can I pick Jewish? Start off with bagels for breakfast, hit the full deli experience for lunch and dinner? (Dangit, now I’m craving a Reuben sandwich more than anything else on the planet.) Throw in matzo ball soup, the occasional blintz, the occasional latke, arguably the occasional Nathan’s Hot Dog…
