I enjoyed “Heidi” more as an adult. Shirley Temple was cute.
I’m having a tough time remembering what movies I saw and liked as a kid.
Star Wars would have to fit in there.
Empire Strikes Back – I think I like this better now than when I saw it at age 10. Jedi? eh – probably liked it better as a kid. The ewoks seem more corny now.
Although not movies, I’ve got to agree with Sublight on the Bugs Bunny cartoons. As a kid, I preferred the road runner / coyote ones. But now I like the Bugs ones better – and can better appreciate the more subtle humor – lots of stuff that kids just won’t “get”. As a music person, I especially like the ones that parody well-known classical music – “Kill da wabbit”, and so on.
Temple of Doom is the middle one. The first one is Raiders of the Lost Ark. (which is far and away the best)
I watched CCBB with my kids, less than a week ago, and thought the same thing. The director could have made the point that CCBB was an early world class racing car with one or two scenes, not the four or five that went into the movie.
I looked up Sally Ann Howes http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0398141/ and marveled at her seemingly advanced age to play a romantic interest in a musical.
I also had never noticed all the connections with the Bond films.
