Just got off the phone with my friend from the P.D.
The baby is fine, resting in good condition in the hospital. He (He! Brandon!)was suffering from a little dehydration and an elevated temperature plus the bruises and rash, but the docs think there’s nothing permanent. Thank God.
Because of the condition of the boy he was not released to Dumb Bitches’ husband or family. He’ll be held until the police and CPS finish an investigation of the situation. Depending on the outcome, Dumb Bitch and her husband may end up living at opposite ends of the jail for a while. Judging from what my friend tells me, that’s a pretty likely possibility.
I’ll post up more info when I get it, just wanted you guys to know that Brandon is okay.

Just chiming in, this is so cool and I’m glad that it turned out so much better than the alternative! And at least there is a chance this child can have a decent life now. More than the chance before this woman so graciously served herself up on a platter to humanity!
Just for the record, I would like to applaud welby1 for his heroic actions. If I am ever elected empress of the U.S., one of my first actions will be to order the (irreversible) sterilization of anyone who is convicted of any crime that endangers children. We don’t need any other Darwin award winners breeding.

And do remember, many criminals have families, and thusly look poorly on those who mistreat childrem. Mayhaps Brandon’s mo - (hell, I can’t dignify her with the term mother) she will not last long in prison? We can only hope.

Please allow me to chime in on the “bravo, well done” chorus, otherwise the truck might have had to be repainted with “In loving memory of Dale Earnhart and Brandon”. Nah, that would have cut into the piggy bank for beer.
I hope this case is resolved in the best interests of the child and that Florida’s Department of Children and Families does not add to its list of incredible fuck ups.
Further, I hope the judge responds with a sane verdict. The reason for adding this is that the judge in the last trial I attended ignored recommendations to place three girls in the home of their stable grandmother and instead returned them to their aunt’s trailer where their mom had the four of them living in one bedroom and where the girls had been molested by their nephews.
I slap my head and say more than “doh”.

Or will go to jail. Looks like she and her husband, who apparently isn’t legally her husband, will be spending a few years behind bars.
Stupid bitch is (what a surprise) a multiple felon, and has two felony convictions for a violent crime. This would be her third, which makes her eligible for Florida’s three strikes law, meaning that she’ll get a minimum mandatory sentence and spend a good long time in jail before she’s even able to THINK about getting out.
Stupid bitch’s husband that isn’t her husband will also be sharing a cell with someone. Though he is probably going to slither out of any responsibility for Brandon, he was wanted on another charge and will be answering for that.
Brandon will be going home to his real dad who, at least according to the phone call I recieved from him, appears to be a really nice guy. He’s apparently able to provide financially for Brandon, and offered to keep me up to date on Brandon after all this is over. In fact, there’s a good chance I’ll be seeing both Brandon and dad in the next few weeks, when they come to visit some family in Maryland.
Brandon’s dad and Stupid Bitch were in the midst of a nasty divorce and custody fight when she took off and married, or tried to marry the idiot she was living with. Apparently the major reason for the divorce was her drinking. Hmmm, somehow that doesn’t surprise me. Her argument for custody was that she could provide a better life than her husband. I hope to God that’s not true.
Brandon is fine, and with his biological dad, and hopefully will have a better life. When I get information on Stupid Bitch’s sentence I’ll post it so everyone can know just how long the streets will be safe from her.
