What’s their angle? That’s what I can’t figure out.
The only thing that makes this story interesting is the (mistaken) belief that it was true. Now it’s no longer interesting. It’s not compelling as fiction, only as fact (and that’s gone now). It’s just another dime-a-dozen Web hoax.
Are there really people out there who will be drawn to that website to get more shit like that?
I kind of wonder why she changed clothes between slides 31 and 32. As a genuine quitting or a hoax, I don’t see any reason for it. It’s not like the last three pictures took so long that she had to stop for the day and pick it up later.
I don’t really think these two things are compatible.
The only thing that gave it any humor was the possibility that it was real. As a fake, it lacks any humor, or any redeeming qualities whatsoever. It’s just another picture of an attractive woman on the internet. Boring.
Even if it was real, I wouldn’t have been impressed. Big whoop: he makes a remark HR would have no trouble believing if you told them. And he spends a lot of time messing around online. Welcome to Dilbertville. You don’t quit over that; you go to HR about the comment, and ignore the rest. So it’s lame either way.
That’s what I was thinking. When I thought it was genuine I thought “what a cute little event” but when it turned out to be a hoax, it just seemed empty and meaningless. There isn’t even a point, and the perpetrators just come across as self serving idiots.
She’s not aspiring, she is; she didn’t come up with the idea, they did, auditioned people, and hired her.
I didn’t buy it either, simply because it seemed a bit too pat, and in fairness the woman IS remarkably beautiful, which instantly makes you think “model or actress.”
Right. I guess, technically, anyone who acts is an actor, rather than an aspiring actor.
I guess i was using the term as it’s often used, to refer to someone who is in LA seeking to get a big break in the business, and who clearly wants to do more than $400 internet pranks.
Anyway, if this leads to more work for her, good luck to her. I’m still not sure, though, what the tools who organized this little stunt wanted to accomplish.
I’m assuming the idea is that she was in work clothes, and then changed into casual clothes to signify the quitting, and the transition from work to not-work.
Of course, about the only thing that says “work” about the original outfit is the glasses. The tank-top style thing she’s wearing doesn’t look especially professional.
Even if it were real, how is scrawling some condemning statements on a whiteboard more badass than telling a passenger to fuck himself on a loudspeaker, stealing a few beer bottles and sliding down the emergency chute of an airplane to make your dramatic exit?
I enjoyed this. Cute girl. I was skeptical that it could be legit. Her facial expressions were too perfect. They must have shot many, many versions to get it just right.
I hope she gets a acting gig from this. She seems very talented.
