I suppose if she suffered daily cluster headaches/migraine headaches, he’d ignore her suffering? Or what if she had MS? Or arthritis?
Or some other painful condition she didn’t cause?
All because - I’m assuming - he’s that particular class of sub-human that thinks his pleasure and diddling with bodacious tatas is more important then her being potentially permanently disabled???
Or is it just that she has no right to her own body?
That’s really crappy, Simple Dreamer. Any chance you can complain to your benefits people and urge them to at least offer another plan as a choice next open season? Believe me, I understand how frustrating the insurance game can be. And I know sometimes they really have you up a creek without a paddle. It just seems like there should be SOME kind of requirement that this surgery be covered.
Hey, a good first step is to start complaining to your congresspeople, particularly at the state level, where they often write laws that mandate certain types of coverage be included in ALL insurance policies written in that state.
WHOOOOOOO BOY! You might want to think twice about coming home tonight babe.
42DDD checking in. 34B at age 11. I’d give anything to be rid of the back, neck, and shoulder pain. Just once I’d like to wear a button down shirt that didn’t look like a tent or wear anything that isn’t tent-like for that matter.
The boob burn, the black eyes, getting caught in doors, etc.
I refuse to do self breast exams because I want to have them lopped off! at any cost!
Rico, dear, honey, loverboy are you suggesting that’s all worth it because next time we have a flat tire you think you can ask me to lay under the car and you won’t have to worry about the jack???
I forgot to mention in my first post that my boobs are fairly proportional to the rest of me - that’s another part of the reason that I’m generally not unhappy with them.
FYI: I recently got a really great bra at this store called The Avenue - I’ll double-check the type - that does the whole “lift and seperate” thing really well; also, the sides of the bra come up high enough so that you don’t get flesh bulges under your armpits! I’m a happy woman.
Crap. I forgot to mention in my second post that I’m a 42 DD (although I haven’t been fitted lately…maybe I should do that). Point being, I know whereof I speak.
And what’s with the freaky Jayne Mansfield torpedos? Is there no compromise between sports bras and eye-gouging cones? 40D or DD here… I’m going to think about reduction if they don’t come down when the rest of the weight comes off.
I’m one of the “two fried eggs” crowd, but my mom had the surgery. Holy crap, she looked like she got hit by a truck. Big black and purple bruises all over, stitches all around the bottom of her breasts and around her nipples…but she said it was worth it. She also said it didn’t hurt nearly as much as having huge breasts–she lost more than a pound from each one.
Niblet, I agree with you completely. I can’t understand why he could be so upset when his wife had been in pain because of them. And this guy’s a nurse, too! You’d think he’d be a little more understanding! But no, he’s all pissed off because his playground just got a little smaller.
Cosmo, I found some really nice bras at Lane Bryant recently. No seams, very smooth, high sides so no spill over, but a little lower cut so you can wear them easily with low cut blouses. And, best of all, they hold you up where you’re supposed to be–that makes it a little easier on my back, when I’m wearing the right equipment.
I called the insurance folks yesterday…they don’t cover it. Crap. Plus CG (and I’m so gonna kill him for this later)said he likes me with big boobs (even though he’s not one of the men who likes to fondle giant tatas…I guess he just thinks they look good on me).
I’m filing a formal complaint. The thread title was misleading and has caused me undue distress. I figured I’d be able to pop in here, place a bid and have IDBB ship me her boobs by priority mail.
I’ve had reduction and just a tiny bit of advice (free, of course, because that’s all it’s worth) for anyone who might actually go through it (and good for all of those who have and are pleased with the results)…
Make absolutely sure that you and your doctor are on the same page. If not, your idea of what constitutes a “C” cup and his could be vastly different. I went from a DD to just a D and I hate it because I wanted a C. And only later, once the surgery was done and the healing process began, did I find out that his opinion was that a C would really be too small for my frame. Bloody hell!?!! It’s me that’s gotta carry these monstrosities around, not him! Not to mention, I paid him for the privilege, not the other way round. Bugger.
So, be cautious and CERTAIN.
[This PSA has been brought to you by the mildly disgruntled too-big-boob brigade. Please go back to your regularly scheduled thread. Thank you.]
I’ve always wished for larger breasts! I can never fill out my shorts, and my top half in not proportional to my lower half. I’d love to have big, sull voluptious jugs! However… we always want what we don’t have, right?
