A wish of luck and joy in your decision - and safety in your procedure.
haha - God, I meant I can never fill out my shirts, NOT shorts… God that sounded nasty…
Big boobs run IN my family. And I AM the Dolly Parton to all the other girls in my school. I’m 15 and I’m already thinking about a reduction… The scary thing is that I’m not even done growing yet…
My mom got a reduction from a D. She’s now a 38 C. We happen to have the same bra, mine a 34C hers a 38C. Well, I ended up with her bra on by accident. I didn’t even notice that I was wearing her bra, except for thinking “hmmm, this bra is getting to small, I need to go a size bigger…” then mom asks me if I had seen Her bra.
The one that I had been wearing.
That was too small on me.
I’m15. I don’t need this. I’d LOVE to have size B. But, its just not gonna happen…
Magic8Ball–As soon as you are 18 and have stopped growing, go see a Dr about a reduction. I know a girl who is now 20 and was in your same position. She was a 32EE by the time her boobs reached full size and she WASN"T that big of a girl (something like 5 ft 6 and 145 lbs, not including her boobs). Better to do it sooner than later.
Meanwhile…the savings is on the way. I figure if I save 100 bucks a month (all I can afford right now), I should have the money for a reduction in about a year and a half.

Well, shoot. I’m going there at the end of July and didn’t even think about boobage being an issue. I’m still going to ride the ride, mind you, I’ll just know to have some ice packs at the ready.
There are a lot of really helpful and informative websites about breast reduction. Several women have even documented their process from start to finish.
Absolutely, positively know what you’re getting into. From what I understand, the ability to breastfeed afterwards isn’t all that common, and is less likely the more tissue you have removed. And, as someone said upthread, make sure you and your doctor are on the same page as to desired results. Unfortunately, that’s not the first time I’ve heard of a doctor leaving a woman bigger than she wanted.
[hijack]100watts–Superman: Tower of Power (boob issues notwithstanding)is one of the COOLEST rides in existence. They shoot you STRAIGHT UP to the very top, which gives you the sensation of flying, plus the view is fabbity fab fab! I really loved riding it and had the line not been a zillion miles long, I would’ve ridden it at least 3 times.[/hijack]

hopefool, my doc was aiming for a B but I ended up an A. I am NOT complaining! When I went bra shopping about eight weeks out from the surgery, when the initial swelling and all had settled down nicely, I grabbed about three B-cup bras. Tried on one…just a bit big. Tried on the second…just a bit big.
“ALLLLLL RIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!” I didn’t even try number three, just went out and grabbed one of the bras in an A, and had to restrain myself from dancing with glee in the dressing room when it fit. An A! I hadn’t seen an A since I was twelve!
Then I found out how hard it is to find an A-cup bra without padding and underwire. I refuse to ever wear underwire AGAIN! I will go braless if I ever can’t find a bra without it; I can, but I just feel sort of naked when I do it. Maybe I should do it more often and get used to it! (No smart comments, guys.)
My understanding is that you have a better chance at breastfeeding if you have the procedure where they don’t detach your nipple, which they have to do if you’re REALLY HUGE. Unless you’re dead-set on breastfeeding, though, I’d say get it done younger if you really want it, and avoid years of pain and frustration. Since I’m presumably not going to be growing my own, breastfeeding wasn’t part of my decision to do this. Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing and I am very much all for it, but I wanted small boobs a whole lot more.
I think I was fourteen the first time I saw a plastic surgeon. Much to my frustration he told me to wait. My surgery was just after my 22nd birthday and I count it as the best present I could have ever given myself.
I like my boobs ever so much better now. I have an old bra I saved to laugh at. If you’re huge and happy, then I wish you the best. Anybody who wants to be bigger, trust me, there are downsides to it. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, I think. Except that having landed on the small-boob side, I’m thrillingly happy (with my boobs, if with nothing else in my life at the moment)!
Hey, whiterabbit, check out Kohl’s–they have some really great bras for those of us who are in the two fried eggs club. My personal favorites are the “Body Hugs” by Maidenform. So comfy, and they come in about a million cute colors and patterns. I have about six of them, and I hardly wear anything else.
I’ll have to check around – thanks! I LIKE my two fried eggs. I don’t WANT padding to look a size bigger, which is something that seems to be lost on bra designers.
