You want to argue about sex? Let's see what Night Ranger has to say about it...

Journey Escape

Don’t forget the Mullet.

Great rock and roll voice?

STEVE PERRY???

I always referred to him as ‘The Duck’.

But I admit, in high school nothing ‘worked’ (wink wink nudge nudge) better than Open Arms.

If you get my drift.

(Having lived in Rochester Hills, a suburb of Detroit at or around 25 Mile road, I can personally state that perils exist in claiming Detroit as a residence when one actually lives north of 8 Mile. People who live in actual Detroit, south of 8 Mile anywhere between the lake and Telegraph road, don’t really think of the suburb people as real Detroiters, and on occasion get smug about it.)

As for “South Detroit”, Cooley High is on 4th and Livernois, IIRC, and I don’t think anyone born and raised there could casually afford the fares on a rail-based transportation system except possibly the People Mover, which is unlikely to deposit anybody in a situation analogous to that described in the song. This leads to a strong presumption that fate was moving said individual, that considerable resources were expended on such a gamble, that his casual encounter was in fact meant to be. It’s these two kids in particular who must continue to believe and not allow that feeling to escape their grasp.

Darn you, Wrong Girl!! I’ve been waiting for someone to pontificate about Heaven to link to that site! :stuck_out_tongue:

I grew up on Tienken (which is 25 Mile) back when that was Avon Twp.

I’ve also lived in Royal Oak, Detroit (twice), Ypsilanti, and Lake Orion. The only group I cannot relate to are the folks Downriver.
