Younger Brother likes to stir things up

Backstory: When my mom and dad were young, my mom helped my dad through college. There happened to be a chemistry class that my dad took which he really struggled with. There was no way he was able to pass the final, so my mom took it for him. Apparently in a big lecture hall, the professor did not notice that my mom took my dad’s place, and took the exam under his name.

Ten years ago my parents divorced because my dad cheated on my mom. My dad moved several hours away from us, remarried and went on to live a rather successful existence. My mom struggled financially, and she was bitter about the turn of events. She told my brother and I that if she didn’t help our dad through college, he probably never would have graduated. Obviously she regretted it.

After my graduation ceremony last weekend, my mom’s family get together for dinner. My brother decides the event would be a good time to dispute the abovementioned events by saying comments like, “You know mom, dad could have graduated just fine without any of your help.” :eek:

Then as if that wasn’t enough, during brunch with my dad’s family the following morning he’s at it again! :mad: This time he’s telling my dad’s family how my mom is full of it for thinking my dad needed her help in college :smack: Talk about uncomfortable!

So to you, Younger Brother, thank you for stirring up a shitstorm in my family right before you go away for 6 weeks at basic training, far far away from the he said/she said bullshit I will inevitably have to endure thanks to you. :mad:

This is more appropriate for MPSIMS. I’ll move it.

Given the context, I hope I can be forgiven for finding this comical.

And your brother’s a putz. Basic’ll kick his ass good, as he deserves.

Your mother is putz for telling you this story. :wally

I wonder why your brother is doing that. I sympathize - it’s a dick move on his part, and he especially shouldn’t be doing that kind of thing when the family’s around. Is he just young and immature?

Don’t take this personally, Incubus, but have you ever considered getting a LiveJournal for the more mundane bits of day-to-day irritation?

Tonight on My Three Putzes…:wally::wally::wally:

I love tender family entertainment.
