Here’s your chance! Please tell us your actual Christmas (or other holiday) present wishes and also what you secretly desire, but won’t tell anyone else. Also, you can take a wild guess about something you will get that is not on either list in the Bonus Section.

Actual: A cell phone, a BBQ grill, and a subscription to Science News.

Secret Desire: A new digital camera and a DVD video burner.

Bonus Section: A subscription to Reader’s Digest from my Mother-in-law.

Actual: Gift Certificates to bookstores

Secret: A subscription to Gourmet Magazine

Bonus Section: Something from my son and husband that I don’t have to pay for, go out and purchase, wrap, and basically fake being overjoyed about.

Actual: New electric hotpot and a new mailbox

Secret: Any two: Palm Zire 71/Lone Wolf sit and climb treestand/45# Martin Mamba

Bonus: Some out of the ordinary teas from my sister-in-law or my niece

Actual: Some good recording equipment that’s PC-compatible.

Secret: A man’s reach should exceed his grasp, no?

Actual: A couple of specific DVDs

Secret: A set of professional quality kitchen knives

Actual: a 20GB (or 30GB since we’re wishing) mp3 player.

Secret: 60 minutes alone with Winona Ryder, a squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup, and 3 red roses (yes, all at the same time, ya ninnies).

Bonus: Socks

Actual: Jak 2 (a PS2 game), a CD burner for my computer, and a watch.

Secret: 5 million dollars, a pony, and an iPod (secret cuz I probably wouldn’t use one if I had it)

Bonus: a puzzle

60 minutes, huh? Don’t you think that is a little, hmmmm, shall we say ambitious?

As for myself…

Actual: The Two Towers Extended Edition

Secret: A new set of Warn hubs for my Land Cruiser.

Oops, sorry Horseflesh. There should have been a :wink: at the end of that sentence!

Actual : what I’ll probly get; some joke presents / healthy candy and carmel popcorn. Plus some books

Secret : a vacation to go see my girlfriend (who lives 3000 miles away)

Actual: from my parents - nothing, or if I’m lucky grudingly given money (small amount) … from my siblings I’ll suggest several DVD titles, none of which I’ll actually get …

Secret: A widescreen TV, a new car, a horse …

Bonus: A new release DVD from a pal of mine …

Actual: Clothes

Secret: A Puppy

Bonus: Probably money.

Actual: Money
Secret: The means to destroy civilization
Bonus: Underwear (I certainly do need it)

Actual: a new Discman that has mp3 capability, clothing

Secret: a new car (and that sure as hell ain’t happening), oodles of money

Bonus: a gift certificate to Sephora or Old Navy

Actual: Subscription to an arts magazine I requested and a couple CDs

Secret: a really nice fondue pot (really - I love fondue, but I’m too embarrassed to ask for one, and too cheap to buy it myself)

Bonus: funny socks

Actual: some things I need and a few good books.
Secret: to have my degree already and a nice place of our own in the middle of nowhere for my boyfriend and I.
Bonus: some random but sweet gift that I wouldn’t have thought of to ask for.

Actual: A pair of Levi’s, a subscription to National Geographic, and toys for the little kids whom Santa desn’t always get to (ie, Toy Mountain, the Salvos, etc.);
Secret: A winning lottery ticket;
Bonus: 'Taint x-mas without socks and panties!

Actual: I will say I don’t need anything… I just like when people get me stuff that requires thought (i.e. don’t buy me a Britney Spears CD, I won’t like it, but if you buy me an Arcturus CD I’ll be a) eternally grateful b) amazed that you found one around here and last but not least c) flattered that you took the time to pay attention to what I like.)

I openly do want a Discman with mp3 capabilities (and a car adaptor!), however, or a GameCube game (Animal Crossing or Mario Kart Double Dash or Super Mario Sunshine), and I really want the Lancome Juicy Tubes Merry Juicy Bar gift set because I am a huge lip gloss junkie, but I won’t ask for them. :stuck_out_tongue:

Secret: A PS2 and Xenosaga, or a Game Boy Advance (SP if possible but I’d do with any!) and Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire. I’d never ask for these things from anyone, though, they are too expensive.
