Well, I dunno about what you should name your cat, but as soon as I get a cat, I’m gonna name it “Moot”.
“What’s your cat’s name?”
“It’s Moot.”
I can’t wait for the who’s-on-first-like exchange that’s sure to follow.
Chess related- Bishop. Cats ahve a huge sense of self importance and the name would serve to reinforce that.
Non-chess- Escher. His work is reminiscent of how cats think.
