Second that one, here. I’m afraid I’m going to have to stop watching that show because every time I see it I feel like such a dirty old man (and I’m only 31!)
She’s:
Impossibly beautiful,
Got a voice that could melt steel,
Able to do the “good girl” and “bad girl” parts equally well (which is to say, just fine for a WB young-adult-oriented action show),
Somehow managed to take what could be a completely dry, too-perfect character and still keep her interesting,
Really impossibly beautiful.
I’ve got TiVo but I still watch all her Neutrogena commercials.
Tim Curry! Those lips and those eyes always get to me–of course, the sexy British accent works well, too. But I just can’t bring myself to watch Family Affair.
“Watros,” I think. I just saw her on a tape I made of “Politically Incorrect” on which she wore a sleeveless top, which showed excellent fashion sense in that she has great upper arms.
I don’t generally get obsessed with one celebrity in particular, I just admire a lot of them all at one time. (Maybe focusing on certain ones for a while.)
For instance, I had that Tommy Lee Jones film festival (I rented as many movies as I could find) a while back. Tried to do the same thing with Michael Ironside, but he is in too many shitty movies to really bother. (Which is a shame, because he has the potential to do some really good stuff.) I also had a fun time watching French films, to see Gerard Depardeu (sp?) several years back.
Just saw Tom Berenger in the film “Last of the Dogmen” and realized that he’s really damned good. So I got a copy of “The Substitute” (I’ve always wanted to see it anyway) and a copy of “Gettysburg” (which has Richard Jordan’s last role). See? I’m all over the board here.
Oh, and I mustn’t even mention the 12 tape auction I won on eBay a while back—ALL Burt Lancaster films. ALL of them. Way cool. My mom has a yen for him too, so I’ve been enjoying seeing all these films with her. He had such a diverse and excellent career. (“Come Back Little Sheba”, “Criss-cross”, “From Here to Eternity”, “Local Hero”, “Trapeze” and so on.)
