I had the sudden curiosity if anybody who has ever played The Celebrity Death Pool <any year’s> (for the record, I have not but I have posted in some of the threads) can recall whose death got them their first points.
I haven’t scored any points in the last 2-3 years. Did score some points the first year I did it…think Ernie Ladd may have been the first one.
It was Joe Paterno for me, earlier this year. I think.
Yup, me too. Started off with a bang this year with Paterno and Gary Carter, nothing since… 
My first ever was Morton Downey, Jr. I actually picked him because everyone was picking the coke-addled Robert Downey, Jr. that year, so it was sort of a joke pick. Turns out he had cancer. Who knew? IIRC, he was a unique pick that year, albeit in a much smaller pool.
This year, when Dick Clark said,“So long.”
I think I lost mine to Tom Watson’s (and Greg Norman’s) former caddie, Bruce Edwards. A unique pick I think.
He had ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
I lost my virginity to Teddy Kennedy.

It is my first year playing and my Death Pool Virginity is intact. I did have Joe Paterno as one of my alternates so I look on that like being felt up…
I lost mine to Ronald Reagan. I still feel dirty.
I thought it was Dudley Moore but checking old threads, it looks like it was actually Princess Margaret, the saucy minx.

I popped my death pool cherry to Joe Paterno earlier this year.
My one and only score in the DP was Michael Jackson.
My first year playing was 2010 and I came up empty.
Last year, I had a great joke ready to go about losing my virginity to Zsa Zsa Gabor. Of course, we’re still waiting on Zsa Zsa, and Seve Ballesteros popped my cherry instead. That didn’t make me very happy. And I’ve long since forgotten the joke.
I played in 2010 but got no points. In 2011, I had my first and only hit with Liz Taylor.
With the recent passing of Robbin Gibbs, I’m up to 3 hits this season.
I believe I still have mine.
Well crap I didn’t know he died.
I played 3-4 years and not once ever got a point. I’m not sure if I should be upset or glad that none of them died.
Pretty sure mine was Tug McGraw.
