I was thinking recently about how much more attractive the women were in 80’s porn than the ones you see these days. Ok, just for kicks i decided to revisit my young days and rented two videos, one a classic from the 80’s and another one of the recent types.

As a group, they looked more like real women (natural bush, natural breasts, tanlines, no tattoos, etc…) than these tattooed, pierced all over, shaved, inflated, caricatures of women that populate the genre today. Also, they were truly performers whereas todays models seem to be just passive receptacles. The gals from the 80’s made you believe that it really WAS good for them too.

So what girls were your favorites from the glory days of XXX video? some of mine are:

Ginger Lynn. Probably the greatest of them all. Beautiful, looked sweet but would get down and dirty with the best of them. incredible body.

Christy Canyon. Tall, statuesque brunette with curves that went into next week. Also could act.

Dana Lynn/Nikki Charm/Blondie Bee, i put them together because they were all of the types that looked way too much like nice girls to be doing what they were doing. Very pretty, young, and cute.

Stacy Donovan. Loved the tanlines, and had such a sweet face as well.

Barbie Dahl. Bluest eyes i’ve ever seen.

Barbii. freckled redhead. always loved girls with freckles and red hair.

Who are some others? There must be dozens that were noteworthy.

Tamara Longley and Stacy Donovan. Although I must say that Miss Longley always looked like she enjoyed, or at least was a good enough actress to convice me that she enjoyed what she was doing. Stacey Donovan usually looked grossed out or at least put upon by the goings on of her partners.

I saw a picture of her taken recently (clothed) and she did look very good. Being that she has to be near 40, she looks absolutely fabulous though she hardly bears any resemblance to her early days. I believe she may have had some facial surgery, though it may just be the change in hairstyle. I have also heard from people who have met her that she is a very nice person.

I guess a better term would have been “unappealing”. For me anyway. I guess what I meant was they didn’t look like strippers or such, but instead looked more like the girl next door. I know that nowadays it seems like most every girl has tattoos, but to me it just looks trashy.

Nikki Charm - what a hottie, even though she seems like she would be a bitch in real life.
Amber Lynn - the best fuck faces of any of them.
Elle Rio - there was a girl who enjoyed her work, and put some enthusiasm into her performances.

I don’t know. When you’re busy raiding your dad’s stash and you’ve only got 45 minutes you don’t really have time to learn there names.

But there was this one movie where this lady was driving her car and she ran out of gas in some out of the way road. Well some helpful guy sees her and decides to help by giving her some of the gas from his car. So they put the hose into his tank and she tells him “You suck up here and I’ll suck down here.” She was hot. I still love that scene 16 years on.

As for the “real women” remark… it’s just a matter of what sustains the fantasy scenario. Minimal or no body modifications makes for a more credible casting of the role of “naughty schoolgirl” or “suburban housewife”. While hyperinflated saline boobs and extensive cutaneous inking kinda breaks any suspension-of-disbelief you may have going. Just MHO, YMMV, whatever floats your boat.

EWWW! Tanlines! Those are SO not natural. I want the objects of my fantasy to have a uniform skin tone throughout their bodies. Having some parts dark and others paler than the underbelly of a fish is gross.

Not exactly the know-it-all of porn stars, I did happen to like a couple of them. Well, actually one.

Seka. She was so different from other ones that I’d come across (snerk). She actually was funny and also sexy as hell. She and her husband used to make their own flicks, and their dialogue was pretty much ad-libbed, but fit very well. Yes, I know nobody but myself ever listened to the damn dialogue! :wink:

She was bleached blonde, but her hair wasn’t a luxurious mane; more of a short, spiky punk do, and she was built (naturally, no implants and big ol’ butt) for business. Always reminded me of a tartier, blonde Bettie Page. Very sexy and seemed to really love her work!

There was another actress (whose name I do not know) who was in a movie called “The Story of Joanna” that was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I believe she was from another country (possibly Italy) because the movie itself was Italian. However, I don’t know if she was an 80’s porn star (or wannabe porn star) because I saw that film about 1977.

The movie was awesome, though. It’s one porn flick I’d enjoy seeing again.

I always preferred the “blue movies” that were made pre-video. I love the filmed ones (i.e. “Behind the Green Door”, “The Devil in Miss Jones”, etc.) and think that the porn industry started going downhill (if that’s possible) when video took over. It lost all the “movie” feel for me when that happened, and took on the quality of having seen a flick that was filmed in someone’s basement or the nearby Roach Motel after an all night coke party.

Which probably wouldn’t be stretching the truth at all.
