Loves me some Kit-Kats and Reeses - pre-portioned for maximum shareability 
I always get confused by American talk of these chocolate bars, as I believe there is a complex three-way relationship between Mars, Milky Way and Three Musketeers.
Over here we don’t have Three Musketeers, but a Mars has nougat topped with soft caramel, all wrapped in chocolate, while a Milky Way is soft pale-coloured whippy nougat covered in chocolate.
As I understand it, a US Milky Way is like a UK Mars, and a UK Milky Way is like a US Three Musketeers. The US Mars bar used to have almonds in it but has apparently now been superseded by some type of Snickers chimera.
Honestly, it’s enough to make your head (and teeth) hurt. 
that’s a hard one. I love chocolate and almonds, but most of the candy bars that have them don’t put in enough almonds. A local place has almond bark, which is fantastic, but costly.
I also like chocolate and peanut butter, so Reeses makes good ones. The almond bark would have to be my favorite though.
Payday is a fave, so are Reese’s PB Cups.
My personal theory regarding some of the (US) M&M/Mars bars:
3 Musketeers: chocoloate-covered whipped nougat
3 Musketeers + caramel = Milky Way
Milky Way + peanuts = Snickers
Milky Way + almonds = Mars
So it looks like Colophon has the conversions correct. Why the hell they just can’t call a Milky Way the same the world over and a Mars bar the same the world over mystifies me. Same for KitKat bars.

I think it’s called a Take 5–it has chocolate, pretzel, peanut butter, and caramel. Yum.
And if I want to spend a small fortune, I love the Barcelona Bar from Vosges. Smoked almonds and sea salt in chocolate.

On the one occasion a year that I eat a candy bar, it’s usually a Twix. Or a Kit Kat.

Maaaan, I remember when I used to smoke weed. A snicker, a bag of funyuns and a mountain due. Geezus Krist.
Twix & KitKat, definitely my favourites. We also have a bar called Snickers, which is similar to Mars (and incidentally, owned by the same company), but better.

My fave “candy bar” is probably dark chocolate almond M&Ms.
If those aren’t available, I’ll go with peanut, or maybe Nestle’s Crunch.
On the occasions that I buy candy at the grocery store I get those dark chocolate Hershey’s nuggets with almonds.
But I’m pretty much of a candy whore. Hard to think of many combinations of chocolate, nuts, rice crisps, cookies, caramel, coconut, etc. that I do NOT like!
UK Smarties or US Smarties? That is, the things that look like M&Ms or the little sugar pills in a rollpack?
Missed this one - if you mean the four-to-a-pack you can break off and share with your friends, then no. If you mean the abomination unto God in the form of a single oversized biscuit that makes people think of novelty checks, then yes. Them’s the funny ones.
We call these PMS bars, because they have everything a girl could want when she’s on her period- sweet, salty, chocolatey, and wonderful.
