Not what you’d traditionally think of as a candy bar, but the all-time best thing ever is the Twin Bing.
Love me some caramilk, and Cadbury’s easter creme eggs.
My current favorite is Reese’s Cups
But i also like M/Ms, 3 Musketeers, Caramello.
Reading this thread, has there ever been a Reeses Cup with crunchy peanut butter?
Not a mention of** Toblerone**? http://idontliketoread.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/toblerone-chocolate-522042_800_418.jpg
What is this world coming to? (To what is this world coming?)
.
Snickers hmmm, love me a good Snicker. Keep them in the fridge also.
Next would be Heath
3rd is $100,000 Bar
Snickers and Reese’s tie for first place on my list. I also love Charleston Chew and Zero bars when I can find 'em.
Further to my earlier post: Boost.
However, whoever wrote that page is totally lacking in taste and class. They are the food of the (moderately overweight and prone to diabetes) gods.
Snickers
Ooooh, too many, really.
Whatchamacallit
Twix
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
Kit-Kat
Snickers
Toblerone
Peanut Butter M&Ms
Hershey’s Special Dark
…
…
mmmmmmm, chocolate…
Zero bars. I’m really not that big a chocolate fan.
make your own almond bark, it is actually dead easy=)
pour an assload of almonds into a jelly roll pan [cookie sheet with really low sides] lined with parchment. Melt chocolate of choice in a double boiler, pour over the almond. Let set up, break into chunks.
The bar I like I dont know the name. We shop at a local discount store called Ocean State Job Lot, and about 5 years ago they bought a batch of israeli sugarless/diabetic chocolate that was freaking amazing. I seem to remembe rthe wrapper had a roman mosaic of a womans head on it.
I can’t narrow it down to just one, either…
Giant Chewy Nerds (my evil girlfriend got me hooked on these)
Caramello
Milky Way Caramel minis
Almond Joy
Kit Kat (US)
And some other foreign candy stuff that I can sometimes find and sometimes not find. There was a Cadbury Australian chocolate and sugar wafer combo (really thick) that I adored but can’t find anymore.
I am thinking this years Halloween costume should be a T-shirt with two reese’s peanut buttercups somehow glued over the boobies.
What say you? Popular or not?
Peanut Butter cups win hands down. I love when they have the “special” varieties. Like Fudge Peanut Butter Cups, Reverse Peanut Butter Cups (Peanut Butter outside), Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups…
Forever Yours, which I don’t think is around anymore; dark chocolate, nougat, caramel.
Zero…
I gotta go with the Butterfinger. Although peanut butter cups and chocolate covered coffee beans are tied for a close second.
I’ve never heard of Skor, but I have to say it sound more like the name of a dark god than a candy bar. “Puny mortals! I am SKOR, LORD OF PAIN! Deliver unto me a sacrifice of blood, or FEEL MY WRATH!”
I would get a laugh out of me.
My kids know that the “go-to” present for me for Christmas, Valentine’s, birthday, Mother’s Day, “I broke your favorite coffee mug and and am trying to apologize” Day, etc. is Almond Roca. Food of the gods! (And I don’t share!)
I don’t usually get candy cravings, but on those rare occasions, I’ll usually go for an Almond Joy bar, a Snickers bar, or a bag of peanut M&Ms. And on Halloween, I’ll shamelessly filch (US) Smarties and Tootsie Rolls from my kids’ treat bags. (“It’s not a sealed wrapper! So it’s not safe enough for you guys to eat. Mom, however, will take her chances!”)
If there was an unending supply of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in my house, I truly believe I would be morbidly obese in a few years time.
A constant supply of Peanut M&Ms would hard to deal with, but I could control myself.
OTOH, a MilkyWay or Three Musketeers might sit uneaten for six months.
I suppose variations in food preference were good for tribal survival back in the hunter/gatherer days. If the tribe discovered a trove of MilkWays, they wouldn’t go to waste.
My three favorites are:
Cadbury with Roasted Almonds
Cadbury Symphony (the one with toffee chips and almonds)
Mars Bar
I love almonds.
I really like toffee, but the Heath and Skor bars stick in my teeth something terrible. It sort of ruins the enjoyment of the toffee for me. Thus, the Symphony bar, which has chunks of toffee but not enough to affect my dental work.
One thing about the Butterfinger is that the eating experience varies more than with other candy bars.
I thoroughly enjoy a Butterfinger if the inside is crumbly and soft. If the inside is brittle and sticks to your teeth it’s much less pleasant.
The last dozen or so I’ve tried were not the soft crumbly type I remember from my childhood, so I’ve mostly given up on Butterfingers.
