Your favorite comeback albums?

(Let’s define a “comeback album” as one that comes after an artist has not released a studio (not live, not compilation) recording in six years.)

I love comeback albums, myself. Can’t get enough of seeing how (or if) a musician or band re-invents themselves after a long period out of the public eye. My favorites include Boz Scaggs’ Other Roads , Bobby Caldwell’s Heart of Mine, Human League’s Secrets and Hall & Oates’ Do it for Love .

I would nominate Steely Dan’s Two Against Nature. Even though Everything Must Go, their most recent, is considerably better.

I’d like to see a Kid Rock comeback album, if he’d agree to go away first.
