My favorite is Mighty Malts, but they’re hard to find where I live now. I used to buy a carton for $1 in the Dollar Store back in Texas. Brach’s brand is another favorite that I can’t seem to find anymore.
I tried the ones from Amazon a few years ago, but they weren’t the same. I remember them being in a roll, and they were, well…maltier. I don’t know if it’s my memory, or they changed the product over the years.
Or maybe someone has a warehouse of very old packages they’re selling as fresh. :eek:

which was a high alcohol content beer. I still remember going out with some Germans in college who
disdained American beers like “budwater” but praised Maximus as a real beer.
German beer isn’t notably high in alcohol relative to US beer; I’d guess most Helles and Pilsners are somewhere in the 4-6% ABV range, just like most American beers.
Flavor is a different story however.
