Your favorite Sean Bean quote?

Only if you’re speaking Irish incorrectly. Sean meaning “old” causes aspiration of the initial consonant of the following word, so “old woman” would actually be sean bhean (pronounced “shan van”).

IF you think Sean Bean is herroic and cool in LotR you must watch the Sharpe made for TV films.
Sharpe “Give him best French Brandy half half”

Soldier “Half half, sir ?”

Sharpe “Yes half inside him, and half poured over the wounds.”

or

Sharpe “The French will be marching towards you, they fire three rounds a minute. If you fire just three rounds a minute you’re all dead. But if you fire four rounds a minute, the French column will slow, and then they’ll stop, and then they’ll run away.
Sergent if you see any man here doing anything not in the book…”
Sergent interupts “Take down his name, Sir?”
Sharpe “No! Give the man, a bloody, mug of brandy.”

a35362, have you seen “Essex Boys”? It’s a mediocre “Resevoir Dogs” clone, but Sean Bean is fantastic in it. So menacing…shiver

Yes, I have. Ooo, he was evil in that one!

Sean doesn’t seem to have much for memorable lines based on the words. It’s his delivery that makes them work on the screen, but hard to use in this thread.

Imdb didn’t have a lot of “Memorable Quotes” entries for Bean’s Sharpe movies, but I did come across this one from Cooper (Michael Mears), spoken in Sharpe’s Rifles:

In one of the Sharpe’s movies (possibly the same one I mentioned above), Sharpe comes up behind Hakeswill, who is haranging the men as usual. Hakeswill spins around and says, “Eyes in the back o’ me 'ead, Sharpie.” And Sharpe says, “Is that where you keep them? They swivel so.”

RikWriter, you captured that one perfectly. The best-delivered line in the movie, IMHO. A lesser actor would have been happy with a  delivery, but he gave it just the right amount of .
