My SDMB favorites include Wookinpanub (I always chortle when I think of Eddie Murphy singing, in character as Bu’wheat). I’m a sucker for puns, so Shirley Ujest and Left Hand of Dorkness (a double play - sci-fi and a pun) are high on my list.

In Eddie Muphy’s days on Saturday Night Live, he did a recurring skit of the Little Rascal’s character Buckwheat, as a grown-up. On one episode, the character was selling an album of “top hits” he had recorded. One of the songs was the country hit “Lookin’ For Love (In All The Wrong Places)”, but in Buckwheat vernacular, “lookin for love” came out as “wookinpanub”.
I used to love Eddie Murphy on SNL.

I saw Enola Straight posted in this thread and that gave me a good laugh. I have not seen nearly enough usernames yet but you guys are all a pretty creative bunch. As for me I’m thinking I should have picked Ollie Oxen Free instead.

I’ve also always liked Anaamika just because it’s pretty and Anastasaeon because it reminds me of Pokemon. (Evolutions of Eevee always have names ending in -eon.)

OK, I was reminded of one tonight.
Cheesesteak. Every time I see that name (and I mean EVERY time) my mouth waters as I think of a nice steak and cheese sub.

LunaV, I always notice your username. But what is the ‘V’ for? In my head you are Loo-nav, but pretty like the moon.
I smile to see Kid A, because I’m a Radiohead fan, and likewise the Discworld refs like Angua, and Ponder Stibbons. Because I have a crush on that character, I had a little crush on him before even knowing anything about him. What Exit? is nice because I was there for the poll to change it, and because I’m a Jersey guy myself, though I’m more “What PATH stop?”
Least Original etc is Longest Username Ever to me, just like Go Go You Big Red etc is Big Red Username. Even when I disagree with them, the fact that I have nicknames for them makes me inclined to like them.

Candid Gamera I get a grin out of every time. I think that may be my actual, pain-of-pain answer for my favorite username. eleanorigby is Ms. Igby to me. Giraffe is a great UN – who could dislike a giraffe?
I was shocked to learn that Der Trihs didn’t mean to be Red Shirt backwards. I thought that was all part of his schtick. I liked the UN a lot before then.

Aaaaanyway… I like a lot of usernames, probably too many to list, so, for a change, I will try to pick one:
The Chao Goes Mu.
Simply the most awesome name ever. It’s probably the only name I’ve ever seen that makes me wish *I’d * thought of it. 
Although there was a name I saw somewhere else, and I wish I could remember where, and I’ve mentioned it here a few times. It’s nowhere near as clever as TCGM, but it always sets me giggling as though I were still ten years old:

It’s just so damn wrong on so many levels.
Actually it’s I Love Me, Vol. I, with the Roman numeral “I” instead of regular old numeral “1.” I remember this because, awesomely enough, it’s a palindrome.
I like the name Lando Griffin (from a drop-dead Family Guy gag). And vibrotronica, both because it’s a cool-sounding word and because he throws great parties.
My favorite, though, is Exapno Mapcase. When I first saw it, I slapped my forehead and shouted, “That is the name I should have used!” (Though I’m not sure if he registered before I did.)
