Your feel-good story for the day

I do rescue transports frequently. Mostly dogs, occasionally cats. Today I did a freedom run for a pig. Possum the Pig was a guest at the Atlanta Animal Control, and rehomed to a rescue.

I was aware that there was a movie, but I know nothing about it.

Within 48 hours of being shot, she had to undergo eight major surgeries.

“I’ve had my right arm amputated, I’ve had my jaw wired, my teeth removed … I had open heart surgery for my heart, my lungs. I had my appendix out, I had my colon removed, reattached twice. Hip surgery,” she said.

“I was placed in a medically induced coma for a few days – quite a few days – just to make sure that I was able to try to heal a little bit before I was able to wake up.”

They do correctly note that this is “an” original, but no one knows how many copies there were - possibly up to 40. The four originals are still in England, the best of which is in Salisbury Cathedral.

Of course, John never signed the document presented by the Barons at Runnymead; he affixed “The Great Seal of England” to it, which immediately made it law. He never had any intention of obeying it - he was a truly nasty piece of work and had been forced to a muddy island by the rebellious barons, halfway between Windsor Castle and London, to complete the deal and transfer a vast amount of power to the people. Damn this is a reallllly good news story

Heartwarming - thanks.

For some reason, the thought of buying a Scottish island makes me smile:
