Your first furniture in the MMP

My car sits fairly low. I hate it when I’m in the left turn lane without a light and a van or SUV is in the left turn lane opposite. I can’t see around them for the three lanes that I have to cross. Sometimes, I just go down several blocks to a traffic light and take the long way around. I do miss my pick up truck.

We used to drive US 6 to go to Cedar Point. It’s a nice drive.

Seriously cool!

Well, wait a bit, maybe Lego will come up with a kit. :stuck_out_tongue:

The floor is mopped and lunch lunched. I’ll take Nelson out in a few, then mess around in the studio.

Howdy Y’all! The doc and vampire visit went well. I also got to pee in a cup this time! I had a text askin’ if the sammiches could be at the church by ten a.m. tomorrow because some are wanted to feed the family lunch and the rest will be for the reception after the service. So, instead of goin’ over to the church house today, I will take care of stuff that needs doin’ whilst I am there tomorrow. The funeral is not until two p.m. so maybe I’ll go have myself some lunch at Eggs Up as they serve sammiches and stuff as well. However, they do breakfast all day long sooooo… Maybe I can convince OYKW to meet up there for lunch and then to funeralize. We had some quality cee-mint pond time late to early afternoon and then nappage and day drinkin’. We did suppunch just a bit ago and now 'tis time to chill and watch stoopid stuff.

Cookie I was goin’ to make a remark about Hippie and succulents, but I could not top yours! * snort *

Cat_Glove we put stuff down at the road a lot and it always disappears. One of the best was when we replaced the chairs at the bar that sits under the gazebo. There were three of 'em and a guy rang the doorbell and asked if he could move 'em up the driveway a little bit so no one could get 'em before he had time to get home and get his truck. This happened about half an hour after we put 'em out. I helped him move the chairs to the carport and he was back within fifteen minutes to get ‘em. Also, you’re goin’ to spend forty days in a cemetary!

Rocker glad Koritza is more herself and that the new fish tank is doin’ well.

Taters that was a bzzy day! Nice of you to haul off some neighbor stuff. Hope Buster is feelin’ better soonest, poor baby. :: skritches to him and Maisie ::

Mollie hope Mrs. Magill has a safe trip home. May the new hair be all you wanted it to be and more!

nuts I often had “out of brain” errors on Firday afternoons durin’ my irk years. Be the cursèd stoodint! Be the reason they drink!

MetalMouse I love to wander the back roads when I can. Enjoy!

Spice what a great story! Yeah, spendin’ eleven hours assemblin’ a desk with someone, is a sigh that someone really likes you.

{{{shoe}}} plus good on you for havin’ a chat with S.M. about that. That does not deserve to slide.

VanGo that is a most impressive nose!

Oopsie at least those long days will be in the comfort of your abode. I would have liked that, but WFH was never an option for me. Yay for there finally bein’ some relief in sight! Yay for new not weird kitchen faucet! I nuke popcorn for 2:30 and it’s perfect every time.

MetalMouse glad you are safely at your destination. Hope you can have fun at the park tomorrow.

We just moved in too, and it’s always interesting getting to know a new place. There are a baffling number of light switches in this house and it’s not clear what they all do. The sellers installed a new fan in the living room which worked great when we first arrived, but suddenly stopped working.

Eventually my husband figured out the switch for the fan in the living room (on the first floor) is located in our master bedroom (on the second floor.) Who would look for the switch in the master bedroom?!

It’s like one of those old mansions with secret passageways and revolving shelves, only with light switches.

Betcha could with Lego!!
(Durn you, red - beat me to it!!)

Otis was in hunt mode, and he may or may not have killed a fawn. I saw a doe in our back yard, and shortly thereafter, he disappeared into the woods. I went to look for him and he followed me back, then went out again. Then FCD went out and brought him in for supper, but he didn’t eat.

After we ate, FCD went out again and at one point a deer went speeding past him with Otis in pursuit. Then he saw a fawn, then heard some screaming. And somehow he managed to get Otis in the house and close his doggy door. So idiot canine is panting like he ran a marathon and I guess we’ll have to go out tomorrow and see if we can see anything. Plus we need to repair a section of fence before Otis figures out he could escape there.

Speaking of supper, when we lived in FL, our favorite BBQ places had fried corn on the cob on the menu - OMG, so yum!!! I’d made it at home a few times, but I hate frying stuff - it makes a gawd-awful mess! But today, I decided to give it a try in the air fryer - and it works!!! Just as tasty and not as greasy. And just in time for sweet corn season!

The replacement curtain for the forward head was delivered today, so I need to stitch on the slides so I can install it tomorrow. Off I go…

She’s gassing up at the Memphis Costco, which she (re)discovered is right next to the IKEA, so she might hit that for dinner.

And the new hair looks fab. The wig shop lady was super excited. There were lots of “That looks so pretty on you.” I was almost tempted to wear it out, but didn’t.

:people_hugging:

Those are the weirdest things, aren’t they, lucky and nettie? I get them a lot. First time really unnerved me. Now I just go with the flow and wait for them to pass. Sometimes I’ll get them one right after another, and that’s pretty annoying. My eye doc says they’re nothing to worry about, so I’ll take her at her word. Scary when one is going on while driving. I usually just pull over and wait for it to pass. I hope both yours are a one-and-done!

Honey is always a most welcome gift, isn’t it? You are very lucky, dicey!

Mollie, deer killed off my raspberry canes. At least you’ll have another chance next year! And how great that you’re happy with the new hair! Looking forward to pics, but I understand that may be a big step. Will be patient.

I am so happy I’m not the only person to have done this. The only advantage to my situation, embarrassing as it was, is that I will never have to see any of those people again. (Except the wait staff. It’s a good restaurant. And yes; they do remember.)

Yay for painless blood draws! This is how they all should be!

Glad Koritza came good, rocker. It’s awful when our fur kidz display signs of illness.

metal mouse, thanks for checking in! You are right, though. Can’t go home again. I now have a firm policy to never revisit a place I used to live. It’s too sad.

Yeah, I guess I’ll keep him. Superb instructions to Mollie on how to manage a short skirt with heels when vital items have been dropped! I know an expert when I see one! Sure sorry about the additional delay to jettison the sling. Given that you’re considering hip surgery next, I’ve got to believe things are improving, at least…?

Van Gogh, I look forward to seeing more piccies of this giant nose as it comes to fruition! I think you have a job for which you are perfectly suited. Your creativity is wonderful!

swampy, I bet we could trade stories long into the night about the lack of grace that is a characteristic we share. Put it this way: My mother called me “moose.” And it’s so good of you to donate your time and efforts for your parishioner’s funeral.

Ollie is a… errrr… ummm… I think they call him a Mini-Plus, meaning missed the mark. I wanted a mini, top weight of 11 pounds. I got Ollie. His fighting weight is 14-15 pounds. Good enough for who he’s for.

Same around here. I never did it, but I understand the impulse.

Keeping chickens is a delight, except when this happens. And sooner or later, something almost always happens. Glad the nap was a really good one!

Yikes!! What a process! Even a wee crowbar? Never thought I’d say this, but you’ve made me glad I had conventional orthodontia as a youngster, complete with headgear! I hope the routine becomes easier.

I’m so sorry.

Yes, you were! Between you and FCM, I am in awe! I hope Buster improves soon, poor biscuit. It’s good he’s eating. Hope he comes good soon.

We have the same law here. When I had a bear hanging around here a few years ago, Fish and Game advised me (rather gleefully, I thought) that I was within my rights to shoot and kill the bear if I deemed it a nuisance animal. You bet, buddy. That bear was never in any danger from me, I can tell you!

Knots, we need more like you.

red, glad the monthly mopping is done. It’s a pain, but always a great feeling when it’s done.

Sorry it was a bad one yesterday, shoe. Sounds like today isn’t going to be much better. Tomorrow…? Big hugs to you.

You got it, 52!

I rarely write checks, but it does still happen. There are a surprising number of folks like your lawn guy who live in the PNW. Also my trash transfer station only takes checks.

Glad you will soon have help at work, Oopsie. And yes, the new kitchen faucet is a vast improvement!

I got the lawn mowed, very early before it got warm. A triumph, as there were no wasp encounters! I moved some things around while I had the little lawn tractor out to do some haulage. < sigh > Everywhere I look, there is more to do. Also, some paying work got done.

I do have a date with the pond repair guy on Monday, so it might be a good thing happening there. I hope it’s not a huge ordeal. He does sound like the right guy for the job, at least.

Dinner was pasta in pesto cream sauce with chicken and a little side salad. Very rich, so the portion was small. All I want for dessert is a glass of water.

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Well, ya got one on yer face, doncha?

(Oh, well, technically, your parents made it.)

Most students don’t need a reason. They just need a friend-of-a-friend with (im)proper ID.

Thanks, and also to all the rest of you. I knew if anyone would gather righteous indignation, it would be you lovely folks.

I did have a quick, quiet chat with her, and she thanked me for letting her know. She also said that Will. Not. Happen. Again.

Scavenger hunt, interior house style.

She’s so gonna come back with random bookshelves, or possibly a lamp or pillows, and OH! they have really nice candles, too. Pretty colors, subtle scents.

I treated myself on my break to soooooouuuuuuup and sushi from the inexpensive place nearby.

I managed one (1) piece of Alaska roll (salmon & avocado) at work, but I’m home now & nibbling/sipping the rest.

Up from naptime, having a Puritan with fish and shrimp Chinese style black bean and garlic stew. Randolph Manthooth has died
< pours out bag of Ringer’s lactate for dead homie >

Why do you hate America?

Awwwww.

{{{{shoe}}}}

Good.

I feel ya. And the same.

Holy shit! I forgot the weather report! :weary_cat:

Yesterday: Ditto.

I did this once at work. Fortunately, Miss Dorothy caught me before I walked out of the restroom to ridicule.

LOL, I like the members of this new club!

So cute!

I’m sitting in the Whataburger lot, patiently waiting for Squeaky to get off work.

Nah, I just need a chance to get all dolled up. No one here has done anything to warrant having to see un-dolled pics.

oopsie’s parents provided the recipe. oopsie did the actual building.

Crisis averted. She just grabbed something at Costco.

Otis came in with blood in his beard. So in the morning, we’ll go in search of a carcass. Dammit.

{{{{{shoe}}}}}

Lady SCAdian is only half joking when she says she wants to get a deuce-and-a-half. For the above reasons, plus people who keep trying to change lanes into her.

FCM How do you do fried corn onna cob in the air fryer? I’d really like a way to cook corn not on the grill or in boiling water, and I don’t have a microwave..

Ms Peach is back into a velociraptor phase of destroying things when I’m not watching. I suppose couch cushions are better than elsewise.

That’s usually a $200 minimum.

… and stuffing your face with fries?

… wellllllllllll … Otis might have bad advice.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. It’s my Firday. It’s also 73 degrees Ferret Height(22.778 Centipedes) outside.

I guess it’s slightly better than “dragged a half eaten carcass through the doggie door, cat style”.

They usually grow out of it by age 10.
