Ok, settle a debate between my wife and I, please. Were you looking for “quarterback” or “center”?
I know someone who forgot the name of the game Trivial Pursuit. She (like myself) is one of those who refers to the wedges as ‘pie’ pieces (not cake, like some of you heathens).
So she called it Pie Race. Now we only ever call it Pie Race.
The best thing was, when she first said it she went: “Ooh, wanna play, um, that… Pie Race? You know? Where we all… race for pie! With questions!”
I like to smurf words in at random just to smurf it up.
While this isn’t exactly a goofy replacement, my girlfriend once said the word “articulate” like “ar tick uh let”. It was highly amusing 
I don’t recall exactly word it was I lost, but I do remember referring to something as the slidey-uppy thing. :smack: And I’ve also used “swingy bit” and other descriptors.
It’s in the the cold food box closet.
My daughter called the alarm clock “The Beep Machine.” Of course she was about 5 at the time.
