Your idea for a music video

I’ve been thinking about a music video of The Beach Boys’ Sloop John B, illustrated with scenes from Rick & Morty. It seems such a perfect fit, I’m surprised no one has done this already. But I haven’t been able to find anything.

My preliminary ideas:

We come on the sloop John B
(Rick and Morty boarding Rick’s spaceship)

My grandfather
(Close-up of Rick)

and me
(Close-up of Morty)

Around Nassau town we did roam
(Rick and Morty walking through an alien city)

Drinkin’ all night
(Rick drinking, surrounded by empty bottles)

Got into a fight
(Rick and Morty in a running battle with the Gromflomites, or similar scene)

Well, I feel so broke up, I wanna go home
(Morty hunched over, holding his head in despair)

(I don’t yet have a good plan for the bridge: So hoist up the John B’s sail… Still working on that.)

The first mate, he got drunk
(It might be better if Morty were the “first mate”, but I don’t think there are any scenes of Morty getting drunk. So we’ll go with a scene of drunk Rick.)

And broke in the captain’s trunk
(Not sure but there must be a scene of Rick opening a big box.)

The constable had to come and take him away
(Rick getting arrested by the Transdimensional Council of Ricks)

Sheriff John Stone
Why don’t you leave me alone?
(Rick being interrogated by the Council)

Well, I feel so broke up, I wanna go home
(Rick in prison)

What do you think? Do you have any unrealized ideas for music videos?

Not exactly a music video, but in the spirit of your OP, I’d like to see someone make a video of the opening theme from the 90s TV series Ghostwriter overlaid with clips from the 2010 film The Ghost Writer.

A great show and a great song, but I don’t think they are even remotely related. Sounds like something Futurama would do, but they’d have a bumper sticker on the Planet Express with “John B” or something as well.
